CHAPTER 22: "The Shire"

We arrived to The Shire. It was beautiful. There were rolling green hills and small houses inside of them. It was pretty and peaceful. The Sun was so bright that made the field to be greener.

The people looked like kids or like dwarves. Well, dwarves were taller. They loved the nature.

"What are they?" Katie asked to Kili.

"Hobbits" he said.

We arrived to a small house. The door opened. Two hobbits appeared.

"I'm glad you made it!" said the one who looked so older.

"Thanks for letting us come. Ladies, this is Bilbo Baggins" Legolas said.

"Hello ladies. You came on time. Tonight is my birthday" Bilbo said. "Oh! This is my nephew, Frodo Baggins" Bilbo said.

"Hello" Frodo said with a smile. He was so cute. He had light blue big eyes and a beautiful smile.

"Hello" we said at the same time.

Bilbo invited us to have a cup of tea in his house. We came in and we saw the house was bigger. We sat and he started to make some tea.

After having tea, Frodo decided to take us to go for a walk and show us The Shire. While we were walking, three hobbits appeared.

"Hello Frodo" said one of them.

"Hello! This are my new friends Katie and Marta. Ladies... they are Peregrin Took, Samwise Gamgee and Meriadoc Brandybuck but you can call them Pippin, Sam and Merry" Frodo said.

Suddenly, Legolas and Kili appeared with Bilbo. Merry and Pippin were looking at us. They were amazed.

"I never saw such beauty"Pippin said while he was looking at me. I looked at Katie and we laughed.

"So, do you have boyfriends?" Merry asked to us.

"YES!! THEY HAVE" Kili said. Legolas just looked at him. He was serious.

He wasn't angry but wanted to let them know we had boyfriends. I didn't say anything.

"Will you come with us?" Bilbo asked us.

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

"I'm going to see how is going everything for my birthday party" Bilbo said.

"Okay, we are coming with you" Katie said.

There were lights and music and everybody was working so hard for Bilbo's birthday. There were fireworks too. We helped some hobbits to have all prepared. We met Rosie and we realized Sam really liked her, we just smiled.

Suddenly, a white horse and a white figure appeared. It was Gandalf. Bilbo was so happy.

Gandalf got off his horse.

"We need to talk"Gandalf said to Legolas. He went towards him. I hid on a tree so I could listen better.

"What is happening?" Legolas asked.

"Saruman sent the balrog because he needs a spell but I think it all happened for Sauron" Gandaf said. "Maybe he needs the girls" Gandalf said.

"Why?" Legolas asked.

"I don't know yet, but they are in a real danger..." Gandalf said.

Before I could keep on listening, Pippin came towards me.

"Hey! what are you doing there?" Pippin said. Legolas realized I was there. He stood there, he was angry. I looked at Pippin.

"Thank you" I said to him.

"I brought you a flower" he said and hge gave me a red rose. I took advantage of that moment and I wanted to make Legolas feel jealous accepting the rose.

"Thank you!! You are so adorable" I said and I kissed him on his forehead. Legolas was serious and he was so angry, more than before and he went away with Gandalf.

The party was starting. The music started to play and everybody was dancing except Legolas. He was angry and I was too.

"Why is he angry with you?" Katie asked me.

"Because I listened to them. They were having a secret conversation" I said.

"If it was secret, why did you listen?" she asked me.

"Because it was about you and me. We are in danger, Katie and he doesn't want to tell us why!" I said.

"What have you listened?" Katie asked.

"Sauron needs us. Something about another spell... I don't know. Pippin came and they realized I was there" I explained to Katie.

Legolas and Kili started to drink. Gandalf stopped dancing. It was time for the fireworks. Kili and Katie sat on the ground next to the river. I sat next to Frodo and Pippin. He was trying so hard to hold my hand but I was angry. Legolas was with Bilbo, they were sitting on a chair far away from where I was. After the fireworks, the music started to play again and Kili kept on drinking.

We were so tired and Bilbo showed the way to his home. We couldn't sleep so Bilbo prepared us some tea.

One hour later, the door opened and Legolas and Gandalf had Kili in their arms.

"Is he okay?" Katie said running over to him.

"He just a little too much ale" Gandalf said. Kili looked up at Katie.

"Hey beautiful" he said and he hugged her.

"Hey Kili, come on let get you to bed" Katie said.

"Oh yes to bed!" he said and he slipped his hand on her butt. Katie took his hand and moved it. They made their way to the bedroom and set Kili down and started to go but he grabbed her arm.

"What you are not staying?" Kili asked her.

"No Kili I am not" she said. I laughed.

"Aw!! come on" he said and he put his hand on her waist.

"Go to sleep Kili" she said and she kissed his forehead and left.

I looked at her and I smiled at her.

"What? I kind of felt bad I knew he wanted it and I was starting to want it to but there was no right" she said to me.

We went to our bedrooms. Legolas was outside the house. I looked at him through the window.

"You should talk to him" Gandalf said to me. I didn't see Gandalf.

"I don't want to" I said.

"Love can be powerful and painful sometimes..." he said. "Maybe he is waiting for you to talk" he said.

"Not now. I'm angry"I said and I went to bed.

Gandalf was out of the house with Legolas. He started to smoke.
