CHAPTER 14: "Shopping day"

I opened the door with the keys. I caught a glimpse how katie gave the ring to Legolas.

We came into the house and turned the lights on. Katie showed them the way to another bedroom so they could rest. Kili went to bed but I saw Legolas on the kitchen with Katie. I went to my bedrom and locked the door. The hours were passing so fast and I couldn't sleep so well.

A thousand words crossed my mind. Memories that made me felt even more guilty than I was.

"A star shall shine on the hour of our meeting" said a voice in my mind like an echo. Could have been the shining star I saw tonight? When I thought that nothing could get worse, another memory crossed my mind. Legolas on the silver tree saying: "Please, don't fall in love with someone else".

I started to cry. I got up from bed and decided to go downstairs. It was dark and I saw a light. It came from the ring that Legolas gave me. He was sitting on the floor.

"You should be sleeping..." said Legolas. Ke knew I was there. I sat next to him.

"I know but I can't" I said. I was about to cry. "We need to talk" I said.

"There is nothing to talk about" said Legolas. I could felt in his voice that he was still angry.

"Are you angry?" I asked him. "I mean, I know I made a mistake but I was about to tell Katie how I felt...then those guys came in and I couldn't do nothing" I said. He looked at me.

"I am not angry. I'm just...disappointed. I do really love you. I made you a promise of love" said Legolas while he was holding my hand. He put the ring on my finger.

"Do you forgive me?" I asked him.

"There is nothing to forgive" he said to me with a smile and he kissed my hand. I fell asleep on his chest.

I was awake in the morning. The sun was shining. I was watching how Legolas was sleeping. I didn't see Legolas sleep while we were in Middle Earth. He was hugging me. Then, I heard some steps. I watched Katie, she was with her headphones as always listening to music. She watched us and she smiled. I smiled her back. She started to sing a song.

"When my world is falling apart

And there's no light to break up the dark

When the waves are flooding the shore and I

Can't find my way home anymore

That's when I, I, I look at you"

I smiled. I saw Kili behind her; he was listening. Katie turned around and saw Kili, her cheeks turned to red. She knew he heard her singing.

"Woaw. I really missed how you sing. I really missed it but I didn't forget it" said kili with a smile and winked at her.

Kili looked at where Legolas and I were. Legolas was awake.

"I heard a bed is much more comfortable" said Kili to us with a smile. Katie chuckled and hit him.

"I'm going to prepare breakfast" said Katie while Legolas helped me to get up.

Then, the phone rang. Legolas and Kili looked afraid and both were pointingwith a sword to the phone. Katie and I laughed and said that it wasn't dangerous. Legolas examined the phone while I tried to talk with someone.

After having breakfast, Katie and I decided to take them to go shopping.

We were in the hall waiting for Kili.

"What are you doing?" said Katie. I looked around and saw that Kili was putting his sword on his belt. I laughed. I looked at Legolas, he was wearing his arrows and his bow.

"You should let your weapons at home. Normal people int his world don't go with a bow or a sword" said Katie to Legolas and Kili.

"What do you do if an orc attacks you?" said Legolas.

"Orcs don't exist in this world" I said.

"And what about...?" Kili couldn't finish his sentence because Katie interrupted him.

"Wizards, orcs, elves and dwarves don't existe in this world" said Katie.

"And what am I?" said Kili laughing. He felt powerful. I couldn't help it and I laughed.

"What do you do if someone attacks you?" said Legolas.

"We call the police" I said.

"the police? What is that?" asked Kili.

"It's like you and Legolas" said Katie.

"Wow, dwarves and elves" whispered Kili.

"No! Normal people like Marta and me" said Katie.

"Okay then" said Kili.

We were leaving the house when I heard Kili whispering to Legolas.

"She was talking about dwarves and elves for sure" said Kili. Legolas laughed.

We took a bus. Everybody were looking at them. Legolas looked at Katie.

"Are they looking at us?" asked Legolas to Katie.

"They have never seen a perfect pointy ears elf...or a beautiful dwarf like me" said Kili.

We didn't know what to answer.

We arrived at the shopping centre. It was all decorated with Christmas lights.

We led them to the clothes shop only for men.

"Can I help you with something?" aske a male voice. He was an employee of the shop. He was looking from head to feet at Legolas and Kili.

"Oh! Yes. It's a costume party. We had a party yesterday and they got locked out of their house..." said Katie.

"I'm a sexy dwarf!!" said Kili. Legolas hit him.

"I see. Men's clothes are over there" said the employee. "If you need something, just call me" he said to us.

We looked for some clothes and led them later to the changing rooms.

Katie suggested get Legolas some leather. I smiled and grabbed a leather jacket. Once we had at least five outfits we gave them to the guys. Then, we sat down and wait for them.

"Ok we are coming out." Kili said.

The doors opened. Legolas was in blue jeans and a polo shirt and Kili also in jeans a plaid shirt and a white under shirt. We shooked are heads. After some nos and yes Kili came out in a a long leather coat, black jeans and a black shirt. Legolas refused wearing those kind of clothes and kept wearing his green elf suit.

We came home sooner. We were tired.

A few minutes later, someone rang the door bell.
