CHAPTER 15: "The dinner"

"What was that?" Kili asked. He and Legolas had their weapons up.

"It's ok someone is at the door." I said and started to go over to it. Kili followed. I was about to opened when I saw Kili still had his sword out.

"Kili put that away" I said.

"Where?" asked Kili

"Um your shorts" I said.

"Good idea!! You will get it later"said Kili with a smile. I couldn't help it but smile.

"Put it away now"I said. I opened the door and there were three people. It was Marta's dad and my parents.

"Surprise!" said everybody at the same time.

"Marta look who is here" I said to Marta.She was just as shocked as I was.

"What are you guys doing here?" She asked.

"We just came to check in on you two" My mom said.

"It looks like you have company" My dad said. Both, he and Marta's dad looked consider with Kili and Legolas.

"Yes these are friends. Um...Aidan" I pointed to Kili. "And" I looked at Marta.

"Legolas. It's a Norwegian name. Are you staying for dinner?" Marta asked.

"Yes, of course!" said Marta's dad.
"Okay, Katie you and Legolas go get some food" Marta said. I nodded and took Legolas's arm and we headed out.

"Legolas?" I said.
"Yes" said Legolas. Legolas and I were walking to the store.
"How has Kili been since we left?" I asked to Legolas.

"Honestly...not so good. He has really missed you. Every night he looked up at the moon. Fili and Thorin had tried to make him feel better but nothing worked. He told he wished he got a chance to tell you that he loved you" said Legolas.
"He loves me" I whispered.

"Yes he does. He said he really loved you the first day and he wanted to tell you every day since" said Legolas.

"I wish I told him. I wish I told him I loved him. Do you think he knew?" I asked.

Legolas stopped and looked at me. "I am sure he knew." I smiled. He then touched my nose. "Come on, let's hurry" said Legolas.

We came to the store.

"Wow. So where are the farms?"asked Legolas.

"Well, some farms grown the food and bring it here and then we buy it" I said.

We got some food and then went down the candy aisle.

"Rule number one Legolas: girls love candy" I gave him a heart shaped lollipop. "You give this to Marta and you will get a lot of kisses" I said winking at him. A big smile came to his face.

We bought the dinner and we hurried back home.

While Marta and Legolas were with our parents, Kili and I were fixing dinner and putting things away.

"Hey Kili can you put this is in the fridge?"

"The what?" asked Kili amazed.
"That thing" I pointed at the fridge.

"Oh! sure" He opened it. "What? Katie look there is light in here!" He was so cute. "It's okay. It makes that so you can see in the dark if you get hungry" I said.

"Amazing..." he whispered.

We started to eat the dinner.

"So, where are you boys from?" My mom asked.

"I'm from Mirkwood." Legolas said.

"And I am from the Blue Mountains" said Kili.

A confused looked fell across in our parents' faces.

"Norway. They have strange towns." Marta said.

"How old are you?" asked Marta's dad to Legolas and Kili.

"I'm 1980 years old" said Legolas.

"And I am 100 years old" said Kili.

"What?!!" said Marta's dad. He was amazed.

"Legolas is 27 years old and Aidan is 26 years old" I said. Marta looked at me and smile.

After what seems like forever, the dinner was over. Our parents left the house and they looked enchanted to meet Legolas and Kili.

We decided to watching TV a little. I showed the boys the TV.

"Why are the humans so little?" Legolas asked. Marta smiled.

"They are not really that small it just look small because the screen is" I found a war movie that I thought they would like.

"Katie come and help me?" asked Marta to me.

"Sure" I said.

"I'm gonna take Legolas upstairs in a bit so you and Kili can be alone"said Marta.

"Why?" I asked her.

"You know what he told me while you and Legolas were gone?" she asked.
"What?" I said.

"He went over to the window and said, she walks in starlight in another world. Then, he looked at me and asked me: Do you think she could have loved me?" Marta said.My heart stopped for a second. I looked over at him.

"I'm going to tell him" I said.

Then, Marta took Legolas upstairs.

"Hi" I said to Kili.

"Hey! Are you okay?" he asked. I nodded. I walked over and sat down by him.

"You know before I met you I would wish to find love. Find someone, you cared for me, made me smiled. Someone who could hold me when I need a hug and make me happy again. I just never thought I would find that in a dwarf. I love you Kili" I said.

"I love you too" he said.We kissed.

Just then Legolas came down.

"It's Marta. Something is wrong" said Legolas.
