CHAPTER 20: "White horse"

By the time I stopped. The sun was up and my eyes were red from crying and no sleep. My legs were so weak that I collapsed. I looked at the necklace. He said he gave it to me because he cared and he had changed. He said he loved me if that was true, why was he with that elf the whole time? I felt the tears coming again. I did not think I had anymore. I was ready to go home. I wanted to be away from here and never come back. I was no longer loved and I would never be loved.

"Katie?" I turned to see Kili.

"Were you standing there the whole time?" I asked him. He nodded.

"How could you run away? You could have gotten hurt or worse!" he said. I did not say anything. "Katie please tell me why did you run away?" he asked me.

"Do you like her?" I asked him.

"Who?" he asked.

"Tauriel" I said.

"What? No!" he said.

"I saw you Kili. I saw her holding your hand. You have been flirting with her and smile at her every since we got here" I said and I turned back around.

"Well you were with Eomer the whole time, how do you think that made me feel? When I saw you dancing with him I felt like I did not want to live anymore" he said and then I turned to look at him.

"Good you should have been" I said and I started to walk away but he grabbed my arm.

"Look, I'm sorry, I ignored you last night. Marta told me about last night. Knowing that I was responsible for making you cry was the worst feeling ever. I want to stop your tears not make them" Kili said.

"Tell me why was she holding your hand?" I asked him.

"After I saw you and Eomer I felt I lost someone I really cared about I could not sleep. I took a walk and I guess there was broken glass and I cut myself and she was healing it" he said.

"So, you don't like her?" I asked him.

"No, Katie I don't, I may flirt but it means nothing the only person I want and ever want is you" he said and I smiled and hugged him.

"Aw!!" he said and rubbed and back.

"I'm so sorry I ran away. My feelings took over me and I just lost it" I said.

"I know. Hey...look at me. Promise if I am ever flirting with any one besides you give me a hit" I laughed. "I'm serious" he said with a sweet voice.

"Okay..." I said.

"Shall we go back?" he asked. I nodded.

Once back Marta and Legolas were the first to meet us. Legolas gave me hug.

"Katie don't ever do that again, you promise?" Marta said. I smiled.

"Yes" I said and we hugged.

Legolas then told us that they were gonna to a safe place.

"Where are we going?" Marta asked.

"Weare going to take you to Rivendell but there are spies around there so we are going to take you a place called The Shire" Legolas said.

"We have some friends there" Kili said.

We were about to sleep but Marta was looking at Thranduil and Legolas. They were talking and they looked worried.
