Parking the car, we both exit the vehicle and then make our way towards where the line ends since you have to stand around and wait so they can make sure you're at least twenty-one and older before entering the club.

Walking past the people, I notice a few girls checking David out. As this weird feeling begins to pound throughout my chest.

Am I jealous right now?

What reason do I have to be jealous? I know David has eyes for me and me only, but still, can't they keep their eyes to themselves or look at someone else's boyfriend? Why do they have to look at mine?

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because he's tall, muscular, handsome, sexy, and all of the above," a voice in my mind yells, but I shake my head until the voice disappears.

Happy that we've finally reached the end of the line and away from those thirsty girls, the jealous feeling vanishes but immediately returns once the girls turn around, yelling and waving hi to David.

Like the loyal man he is, he ignores them, but it still bothers me that they can see he's here on a date and couldn't care less.

Suddenly, this image flashes in my mind, causing me to stumble back and fall into David's arms.

"Hi, David," two girls who look to be in their early twenties say, having this seductive look in their eyes.

"Hello," David replied flatly without even sparing them a glance.

Returning to reality, I became puzzled about what I had just seen.

"Baby, you ok?" A concerned David asked, balancing me back on my feet.

"Yea, yea, I'm fine. I just had a little headache suddenly, but it's gone now," I assure him, seeing him go from concern to normal again.

"Are you sure?".

"Yeah, I'm sure," I say, noticing the line moved a lot since I blacked out for a moment. "Let's keep it moving. I'm excited to show you the inside of the club." I grab his hand and then rush to where the line now ends.

I'll worry about that weird episode later, but for right now, I'll focus on enjoying my time with David.

Making it to the front of the line, we give the security our IDs and pay the entry fee. He approves us, then hands us back our stuff as we walk inside, revealing the beautiful scenery before us.

I heard this place was beautiful, but beautiful is an understatement when looking at it in person.

To your right, you see the emerald green bar with matching-colored barstools and dark brown shelves filled with all the liquor and wine a person could ever want.

In the middle, you see brown leather armchairs scattered throughout the floor, with dark brown wooden tables in front of them, each with a gold candle in the middle. Some only had two chairs, primarily for couples, while others had four for a group of people.

To top it all off, the dazzling brown, green, and gold stage was placed on your far left. It had three steps, all with gold lines running across them, a brown and gold archway, which is probably where you come from in the back, and three different-sized pillars, all placed perfectly apart with gold lining on them as well.

It was all so magnificent that I wish never to leave this place.

"So what do you think?" I ask as we walk down the stairs to find available seats.

"I'm speechless. I love the elegant old theme it has going on," he replies, looking around the place more.

Finding a place to sit, we settle down until a waiter or waitress comes by to ask for our orders.

"What's with the stage? Do they have live performances here?"

"Sort of. They usually pick someone random from the crowd and have them sing or perform with an instrument. They do it occasionally. It's called talent night".

"Ohh ok, that's nice," he says as a waiter approaches us.

"Good evening. My name is Miguel, and I'll be your waiter for the night. Are there any appetizers or drinks you would like to start with?" He asks, pulling out his notepad and pen.

Picking up the small menu already placed in front of us, I ordered a glass of Circo Passion while David ordered Milagro Reposado.

"Okay, your drinks will be ready in one moment. Enjoy the rest of your night," he said, then walked to the following table.

"Now that we're nice and fully settled, can I at least have a small hint about my surprise? The wait is killing me," he pouts, placing my hand in his.

Retracting my hand, I cross my arms, refusing to let his adorable, pouty face break me.

"You can give me the puppy eyes all you want, but it won't work on me."

"Not even a little?" he asked, slightly pinching his fingers together.

"Not even a little," I confirm, batting my eyes at him. "Don't worry, you'll see the surprise very soon, but let's continue chatting and enjoy the drinks when they come."

Giving up on trying to persuade me to tell him the surprise, we decided to talk about all the different art pieces people requested all of last week and months ahead of time.
