"Wait, wait, so, when you were in the seventh grade, you practiced singing All I Want for Christmas is you so much to the point your voice went hoarse, and you didn't realize it until you went on stage?".
"Yep, pretty much. I had the cutest outfit, too. It was a sparkly Santa girl dress with a matching hat, and I found my mother's high-heeled boots to go with them," she giggled, folding a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "At that moment, I wasn't embarrassed because I had messed up on stage, at that age I knew people made mistakes, but the kids after that kept making fun of me for weeks to the point I pretended to be sick just to avoid going to school".
"Well, it's their loss because I bet you're still an amazing singer," I compliment her, grasping her hand.
"How exactly would you know that when you haven't even heard me sing yet?".
"Isabella always talks about how good of a singer you are, and I mean all the time, so I don't doubt you're a good singer."
"Aww, I didn't realize how much she loved my singing. Well, one of these days, I'll sing for you so you can determine whether I sound good or not."
"I can't wait," I say, kissing her hand.
Once we hike down this excruciating path, we finally reach the waterfall, setting our things down in a clear area.
"If this was the surprise, then it was worth the wait," She says, pulling her shirt over her head.
"Oh, this isn't the surprise, you'll see once I set everything up," I say, setting my backpack next to her bag and taking my shirt off as well.
"Oh? So then, what is the surprise?"
"You'll see, I'll join you in the water in a minute. Just give me a second, I won't be long".
"You better not be," she states, slipping out of her shorts letting them drop to her ankles.
Watching her walk away until she disappears, I move as quickly as possible, setting up everything accordingly.
I hope she loves this. It took me all day yesterday to make all this, so I hope she enjoys it. If not, I'll just try something different.

Floating around in the water, I bask in the sunlight, letting its warm rays shine over my face.
Even though I was enjoying my complete relaxation, I still couldn't help but wonder what this surprise was. David had been gone for a while, so it might be something big, but at the same time, the view of the waterfall was breathtaking. This is such a relaxing spot, so what could top that? Knowing David, it's probably something delightful that'll make my heart flutter out of my chest, but still, I couldn't ignore the curiosity building up inside of me.
Standing up, I turn around, about to sneak up to see the surprise because my curiosity is killing me. But before I do, I bump into a tall figure, already knowing who it is.
"Are you about to get out already?" he asked, sinking deeper into the water. "But I just got in," he pouted.
"Oh,no, no, I was just looking around for you," I say, giving him a fake smile.
I don't know if he'll get mad or not if I try to spoil the surprise, so I'd rather keep that to myself.
"You know I can tell when you're lying, right?".
"Huh, what-" I pause, looking away from him. "What makes you think I'm lying? What reason do I have to lie?"
"Well, for starters, you avoid eye contact, you talk fast, and you play around with your hair whenever you are nervous or you're lying, and you can't possibly be nervous right now because I'm not doing anything to make you nervous, nor are you in an uncomfortable environment, so the only other option is that you're lying about something," he smirks towering over me.
Damn, he's a good observer, or maybe I'm just that obvious.
Placing my hands on his chest, I push him away, feeling my face begin to overheat from how hard I'm possibly blushing right now.
"Umm...those are basic things that people do all the time so that still doesn't prove that I'm lying".
"Oh really?"
"Yes, really," I say, feeling I might've gotten away with this.
"Ok, then, something else that you do when you lie is you become a little pale when people catch on to the fact that you're lying."
Fuck.
Folding his arms, he cocks an eyebrow at me, tilting his head slightly to the side.
"Baby, do I have to force the truth out of you, or are you gonna tell me on your own?".
Force the truth out of me?
"What exactly are you going to do to force the truth out of me?"
"You'll find out soon if you don't tell me in three seconds." He threatens, looking me up and down as if he's stalking his prey.
Inching closer to me to the point our bodies are practically molded into each other, he slides one hand around my waist while placing the other on the back of my neck.
Ok, we'll act like this isn't turning me on right now.
"Three"
Silence.
"Two"
Silence.
"One"
Crashing his lips on mine, he removes his hand from my neck, cupping my breast while the other guides down to my ass, giving it a harsh squeeze.
"Do I have to continue, or are you willing to tell me the truth now?" he whispers, burying his face in my neck.
"T-There's nothing to tell," I stutter, feeling the arousal sour throughout my body.
"Fine, don't tell me. I love a good challenge anyway," he growls softly kissing my neck.
Slipping his hand beneath the fabric of my bikini top, he softly caresses my nipple, lightly pinching it, causing a whimper to escape my lips.
"Babe, don't make this harder than it has to be, 'cause I don't mind fucking you out in the open like this.".
I gasped loudly as my eyes shot open, knowing he was not kidding.
Taking a short pause, I finally decide to tell him the truth, hoping he won't be too upset.
"I wasn't about to get out looking for you, I was trying to take a peek at the surprise you're preparing."
"See," he smiles, "Now, was that so hard to admit?" he chuckles, kissing my cheek.
"When you think you're going to ruin the date by spoiling a surprise, yes."
"Baby, you weren't going to ruin the date. I would be a little sad if you found out yes, but it wouldn't ruin the date," he clarifies, releasing me from his tight hold.
"You sure?".
"Positive," he smirks, "but before I show you the surprise, we have to enjoy our time in the water together," he says, then splashes me.
As my jaw dropped, I splashed him back, which then quickly escalated to a splash war.
"You're not going to win this battle," I squeal as the water splashes on my face.
"I bet I will," he laughs in return, dodging my attacks.
"We'll see about that".
