Fast forward to Valentine's Day
Jennifer P.O.V
"I hope you have plans with your actual man on Valentine's Day and not that stank ass husband of yours," Manolo threatens, taking a sip of his coffee.
"We do, we do so you can calm down," I laugh, biting into my strawberry waffle. "I already knew me, and Nicolas wasn't going to do anything for Valentine's Day because it falls on a day he works, and making money is more important than spending time with his wife." I shrug since I'm used to it now. "Besides, we've only ever done anything on Valentine's Day twice throughout the eight years we've been married."
"You better not ever leave me alone with that man, or else I'll shoot him with no hesitation," he says, gripping his mug tighter than before.
"Manolo, please don't shoot him. You don't need a murder charge on your record," I sigh, resting my head on my hand while I continue to eat.
"I can't make any promises, but I'll try."
"Thank you".
"Besides that asshole, what's the plans with David, another dinner date or a little adventure again?" He asks while nudging my arm.
"I haven't told David yet because I want it to be a surprise, but we're going to the midnight passion club tonight."
"Ouu, isn't that the one where they pick a person in the audience to perform some musical talent on stage?".
"Yep, that's the one. Oh, and apparently, they don't just randomly pick. You can ask the owner ahead of time if you can perform, and they'll just act like they're picking at random."
"Ok, yeah, that would make more sense, but why that club I know theres a reason?".
Glancing in his direction, a slight smirk appears on my face, already knowing he will love what I have in store.
"You're right. I picked that club for a reason. I chose that club because...."
Later, at eight p.m
I'm in my car outside David's apartment, scrolling through Instagram, waiting for his friend to come so he can watch Isa while we go out tonight.
When I check in the mirror to see if my makeup is still okay, I can't help but admire how stunning I look tonight.
I chose a white ruched mermaid-hem slip dress with a pink rose print, matching light pink shoes, a pink shawl, and a pink rose diamond jewelry set.
As for my makeup, I blended silver and pink eyeshadow and put on just simple lipgloss.
Seeing that my makeup was okay, I went back to scrolling through Instagram until I noticed a neon green Ford Mustang pull up in the parking lot.
That must be his friend. He did say that's the kind of car he drives.
When I turn my attention back to my phone, a notification with David's contact name on it pops up.
David: Don't worry, I saw you when I let him. Ima just say goodbye to Isa. Then I'll be right out there.
Jennifer: Take your time. We'll still have plenty of time to get there :)
David: I won't be long, so don't worry 🤎.
Placing my phone in the cup holder, I lean back, imagining the look on his face once he sees not only my outfit but also the surprise I have in store for him.
David wasn't kidding when he said he wouldn't take long because not long after, I saw him exit the building and approach my car.
Getting inside, he closes the door behind him and then turns around to kiss me.
"You look gorgeous," he compliments, putting his seat belt on.
"Thank you," I blush, checking him out a little.
It seems whatever he wears, he looks utterly sexy in, making it difficult not to look at him or, worse, want to fuck him.
I told David to wear something casual but meant for the club, and he followed those instructions beautifully.
He's wearing a long-sleeved button-up dark fuchsia silk top, white dress pants, matching fuchsia shoes with a silver diamond chain, and a matching watch.
To make matters worse, all three buttons are undone, slightly exposing his pecs, and the sleeves are rolled up to his elbows, revealing those delectable veiny arms of his.
"If you're done fucking me with your eyes, would you like to drive us to the club now, or would you rather me drive so you can continue ogling me" he smirks as his eyes travel up and down my body.
"W-Wha-, I wasn't fucking you with my eye-" Huffing, I start the engine and then drive off as he laughs at my embarrassment.
"It's okay to check me out, I don't mind," he says, placing his hand on my thigh.
"Checking you out is one thing, but fucking you with my eyes is another, and I was not so-called fucking you with my eyes," I pout, stopping at a red light.
"Then why were your eyes darkening the longer you looked at me?"
Can my eyes do that?
"Because," I pause, attempting to make up a good excuse but failing miserably. "Because of a reason that I'll come up with later."
Laughing at my response, he wipes a tear from his eyes, making my embarrassment grow more extensive and more prominent to the point I was sure I would die from it.
"Do you just enjoy asking fun of me or something?" I asked, sending him a playfully annoyed glare.
"Yes, because you look cute when you are embarrassed," he smiles, looking out the window.
"Haha, so funny". I sarcastically say, moving the car once the light turns green again.
After a couple of minutes of silence, David asked me what the surprise was, and I would be lying if I said his eagerness didn't bring me joy.
"You'll see once the time comes, but for now, be patient." I glance in his direction.
"Is this you getting back at me for the surprise dates I took you on?".
"Of course, now you know how it feels," I chirp, feeling bold tonight. "But trust me. You'll love it once you see it".
"After what you did for me at work, I'm sure I will."
Yep.....because it's going to take a lot of bravery to do this in front of a whole crowd.
