A few years after Cardan turning into a serpent and everything, Jude and Cardan return to the mortal world to visit Heather, Vivi, and Oak. Cardan has been to the mortal world many times by now and knows about pretty much everything. One day, Cardan takes Jude to the beach for a "mortal date". At the beach, a random mortal guy starts flirting with Jude, "Hey, cutie." He says with a smug grin.
"I'm not interested, sorry," replies Jude, putting up a hand to indicate what she just said, not even looking at the man.
"Oh, come on, cutie." He says, the smug grin still on his face.
"She said no, didn't she?" Says Cardan, the anger apparent in his voice.
"Oh, you, uh, you here with him, cutie?" The mortal says
"Stop calling me cutie," Jude says, standing up angrily.
"Yeah, she's here with me, dumba-" barks Cardan, but the mortal interrupts him,
"So, is she your girlfriend girlfriend, or are y'all just talking?" Asks the mortal, the question clearly directed at Cardan.
Cardan opens his mouth to reply, but before he can even utter a single syllable, Jude speaks up,
"Bitch, if i kill you, are you dead dead or just not breathing?" She says, smirking now.
"What did you just say to me?" The mortal yells, saliva flying out of his mouth that is expertly dodged by Jude.
But before she can say anything, Cardan punches the man. Since he's the High King of Elfhame, he's pretty good at fighting. Well, maybe not the best with swords, but pretty good at physical fights.
The man's nose starts bleeding and Cardan glamours him, "You don't remember anything that has happened in the past 10 minutes or what is to happen in the next few minutes."
The man's eyes are blank, dead, he immediately obeys to Cardan's command, with a small, shaky nod.
"Cardan, what-" Jude mutters, but Cardan cuts her off,
"Darling, just you wait and watch." He says with a smirk that's surprisingly alluring.
And with that, he sends the man flying to God-Knows-Where, wraps his arm around Jude's waist in a possesive manner, and the couple walk away.
