Jude and Cardan are in the infirmary.

Cause?

Car accident in the mortal world.

The bomb comes to visit the two of them in the infirmary, "What in Eldred's name happened to the two of you?"

Cardan replies with a cheeky grin, clearly still high on anaesthesia, "Car accident. Mortal world."

"I can... see that. What I'm asking is, how?" Says the bomb.

"Cardan was driving and there was a deer in front of us. I yelled, 'Cardan, deer!'" Says Jude, clearly not high on anaesthesia.

"Don't tell me..." says the bomb, pinching the bridge of her nose with her thumb and index, "Please don't tell me-"

Jude cuts her off, "And then Cardan replies with a 'Yes, honey?'"

Cardan bursts out laughing.

He then realises that the room is silent except for him.

He still laughs.
