Cardan sees Jude training with Nightfell and walks up to her, encircling his arms around her waist and resting his head against her shoulder, "Well, hello there, my sweet nemesis."
"Jesus, Cardan! I could've killed you!" Jude exclaims, Nightfell held in her now-tensed-up hands.
"Now, now, darling, we need to talk." Cardan whispers into her ear, his lips floating above her earlobe.
"What about?"
"You read my diary, didn't you?"
"Cardan, wha-"
Cardan cuts her off with a finger to her lip, "So you know what I think about you?"
"Cardan, I didn't even know you had a diary!"
"What? Then who corrected all my spellings?!"
**Meanwhile, in the stables**
"I'm thinking of sending Cardan back to school to teach him how to spell words that aren't 'Jude'," The Roach says, stroking a horse's mane.
"And don't forget, we need to hire someone to teach him how to-" says The Bomb, hands on her hips.
"Actually and correctly flirt with Jude." The bomb continues, and the Roach says it in unison with her.
Cardan storms into the stables, feigning anger, "You two!"
"Yeah, yeah, it was us. But seriously, we could lend you some money to go back to school and learn how to spell words that aren't 'Jude'." Says the bomb, smirking.
Cardan tries to keep his expression neutral but a tint of red creeps up onto his cheeks, "I know how to spell..." he mutters under his breath, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly.
The bomb hands Cardan's diary to Jude, and Jude bursts out laughing, "Cardan! Can't you spell Nightfell?"
"Of course I can, what do you-" Cardan says, his eyebrows furrowed, Jude turns the diary around and realization hits him like a ton of bricks, Cardan bites his lip and chuckles sheepishly.
"Can you?" Jude asks
"Yes" says Cardan
"Can you?"
"Yes"
"Can you?"
"Yes"
"You wrote, and i quote 'Jude looks so sexy training with Nitefell.' "
"Ye- wait, isn't that how Nightfell is spelt?"
"No, my darling High King, it's spelt N-I-G-H-T-F-E-L-L, not N-I-T-E-F-E-L-L."
"Give me that-" Cardan reaches for his diary, but Jude snatches it away and starts running, to which Cardan chases her.
"Those two are never going to learn, are they?" Asks the roach.
"Nope. Never." Replies the bomb.
