Chapter 10

"What do you mean you haven't watched little women ? That's a classic Walker how are you being real right now ?"

"Not really my type of movie"

"How would you know if you've never seen it ?!"

"It doesn't sound too interesting"

"Ugh" I rolled my eyes and flipped my phone so it laid face down on the counter, since we somehow after hours of talking ended up in a video call

"Hey this is dark... literally"

"Don't you have sisters ? How have they never forced you to watch that ?"

"Talking about my sisters, Belle is spending the entire time with Aryan it's so annoying, I don't even know where they are"

"Are they like dating ?"

"Who ? Aryan and Belle ?" I heard him violently laughing through the phone picking the phone back up and moving it to the table putting my noodles onto my plate

"Yeah"

"No way. If they ever start dating I'll like... I don't know I don't even have to think about that cause it's that insane" I propped the phone against the wall and sit on a chair pulling one of my knees up to my chest

"Let's do like a bet, if they date you'll have to... uh there's this really pretty necklace, if they ever start dating you have to get me the necklace" I grinned looking at Walker through my phone

"Okay and what do I get if they don't date, which they're not gonna do"

"Hmm" I ate a bit from my plate while he thought about that

"I want one of those bracelets you made if they don't date"

"You mean a friendship bracelet ?"

"Yeah"

"Okay, deal"

"But we have to like set a time limit, when is the bet done ?"

"Oh that's true, uh how long ?"

"Let's say two years ?"

"You think we're still gonna talk in two years ?" I laughed a little asking that, I mean I was for sure hoping we would but most people usually get bored of me after a bit

"I sure hope so" I smiled at his words

"It's a deal then" I held my hand out to my camera, him doing the same as we did a virtual handshake

"Mel ?" I turned around to where I just heard my name from seeing Cole walk toward me "who are you talking to weirdo ?" I realised that he could very much see Walker on my phone if he came closer so I grabbed my phone and put it behind me on the chair quickly just hoping that Walker would stay quiet

"No one, just watched some TikTok's" he didn't seem to actually care cause he shrugged it off pulling a chair to sit down on "You don't have anything better to do than bothering me ?"

"I don't actually, mom and dad went to visit my uncle. Let's do something"

"What do you want to do ?" I really just wanted to keep talking to Walker

"The new laser tag place opened yesterday we could go there" he suggested looking at me

"I've never played laser tag Cole I have no idea how to do that"

"See then, when's a better time to learn it" he got up from where he was sitting

"I haven't finished my lunch yet give me a second"

"I'll be here in half an hour" he called out before closing the front door behind him

"Laser tag ?" I flinched a little remembering that Walker was still on the phone, I took my phone out and placed it on the table again

"He's gonna be the reason I die one day and I'm sure of it"

"Was that Cole ?"

"Yeah"

"You two are pretty close huh ?" I shrugged eating the last few pieces on my plate before getting up to load my plate into the dishwasher

"Yeah, well he's my best friend, I don't know how but he's sticked around since 11 years" I went upstairs into my room and looked through my closet to figure out what to wear "What do I even wear to laser tag ?"

"That was actually so fun why did we never do this before ?"

"You were never up to it"

"Wow we're blaming me now ?"

"Where do you want to eat ?" We decided on going to an Italian restaurant and took the bus to get there "How's your hand doing ?" I opened my left palm and looked at the wound

"I think it's gonna leave a scar" I scrunched my face a little at it "It's in my palm though I'm sure no one will notice. Who would care about my hand enough to see that ?"

"Is till can't believe all of that happened, she was like insane... I've never witnessed her that bad before"

"I have. I'm just sad that class and her friends had to witness it too, they're still so young and innocent they shouldn't have seen her like that" our pizza got served so we stayed quiet until the server was gone

"Mel I think you're forgetting that cassie isn't a child anymore, she sees and understand things normally you know ?"

"She's twelve Cole, she isn't even a teenager yet"

"Think about when you were twelve, you went through so much worse Mel" I stayed quiet and took that in for a while

Cassie still seemed so young to me, I think sometimes I do actually forget that she isn't all that little anymore. But I think I'm being so protective over her because I don't want her to go through what I did

Yeah no what a crazy idea that Aryan and Belle would ever date.... (They were on their first date while Walker laughed about it)
I miss my babies Claryan but I'm so ready to get couple Mel x Walker at some point when they start dating 💪💪
