Chapter 29

"You're actually so stupid"

"Well ouch"

"No but are you actually kidding me or do you not know"

"I do not know Mel"

"Weirdo"

"So you're not planning on telling me ?"

"No thanks, I prefer not to talk to stupid people" I turned my phone around so it was faced down on my desk

"Hey. So are you gonna fill me in or just bully me ?"

"The second"

"Can you at least out your phone back up so I can see your pretty face again ?" I rolled my eyes feeling the blush on my face but ended up grabbing my phone as I got up and went to my bed

"Walker how do you not know who Gracie Abrams is she's literally the love of my life"

"Wow the love of your life huh ?"

"Yeah"

"So there's no room for someone else there" I took a second at his words not knowing what to say or do, I was blushing like crazy and I was very aware of that and so was Walker "where'd you go"

"You're an idiot"

"Maybe"

"No maybe, you are" he had a smirk on his face knowing exactly what he had just done "you're also like way up there maybe take a breath and calm your ego down a little"

"Hm, I enjoy being up here"

"Of course you do" I laughed shaking my head at him "do you have any interest in doing my maths homework ?"

"No"

"You're a bad boyfriend"

"Whoopsies" I stuck my tongue out at him seeing him return it towards me "oh I have to hang up my moms calling me, talk later"

"Okay, bye" I barely had time to finish my words before he hung up which was weird and unusual for Walker, he would normally keep talking for at least half an hour after saying bye

Walker and I had been dating for almost a week now and I seriously don't think I've ever felt so happy ever

He was the sweetest person while also being extremely funny and sarcastic and really flirty, he knew what to say and when to say it to make me blush like crazy and it was driving me insane

I turned to my back and just stared at my ceiling, my fingers finding its way to the necklace he had gifted me the first time we met

I didn't believe I could ever feel this way, sure I had hoped and dreamed about this very feeling but actually feeling it seemed so strange and different

I had been reading and watching silly rom coms since I was able to read and I had fallen in love with love over and over again in the past years and now Walker was here more perfect and amazing than I could've ever imagined

I took my phone and aimlessly scrolled through TikTok a little until I heard noise coming from downstairs

"Cassie ? Is that you ?" I called out, I thought she was already asleep "Cass ?" No answer again and then it sounded like something shattered

I got up from my bed and grabbed my phone firmly in my hand slowly opening my door, there was no light on downstairs which made the situation a whole lot scarier

"Cass ?" I said one last time as I slowly walked down the stairs but again I didn't get a response

I looked into the darkness of the kitchen carefully before continuing to walk to the living room, I felt like I was in a horror movie and the people behind the screen were shouting at me not to open the lights

Yet I still reached for them hesitating a second before flicking them on to be greeted by a really loud noise

I gasped seeing the confetti fly around the room that was decorated with banners and balloons all around

I stood there in the doorway my mouth slightly agape looking around the room in shock before my lips turned up into a smile

"What is this ?"

"Happy birthday Melly" I hugged my sister back as the smile on my face grew even wider, Colton stood besides Cassie messing my hair up before pulling me into a slight hug

"Happy birthday Mel, now you can't call me old anymore"

"Sure I can"

"Get aside Colton leave some Mel for me" Destiny was the next to run me over with a hug "Happy birthday babe I love you so so much" I chuckled slightly as we whipped from left to right "I swear to god Mel you got a good one don't you ever lose him" I was a little confused by her words until I looked around the room and caught someone else's eye, Des let go of me and hushed Cassie and Cole into the kitchen leaving me grinning at Walker who was standing a few feet away with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers in his hands

"What are you doing here"

"I can't celebrate my girlfriend ?" He held his arms open and I didn't even waste a second before rushing into his arms and wrapping mine around his torso "Happy birthday Mel"

"Thank you" I turned my head so I could look up to him seeing the smile on his face and then I didn't see it anymore because my eyes were closed as he kissed me so softly yet so amazingly

We let go after a moment but still stood pretty close to each other, he held the flowers out for me with a smile

"These are for you by the way, they were supposed to go to my other girlfriend but she didn't like them"

"Oh well too bad for the other girl cause I love them"

"See I knew you would" he placed another kiss on my lips "they're the same flowers that are on your necklace"

"No way" I looked down at the flowers again and did in fact recognise a few of them from their place on my necklace "this is insane thank you so much"

"Anything to see that smile of yours "
