Notrack1 remained without shaking Steve's hand, who was a little confused by his attitude, but didn't take it personally. He's just a bodyguard being paid to do his job and maybe he's doing this job against his will and he might be having a bad day, that's all. Steve thought that way and he's not going to judge him for it.

A little before that, James called for his mother when he saw her on the balcony, Natasha was completely resolute and with a cool head about what she had to do about Steve Rogers, she didn't go straight to the balcony, she even went to the living room window and peeked through the glass and the thin lace curtain to see who was outside, she was calm until she saw Steve again, but then... When she look at him, that's when her heart raced and Natasha had thousands of different thoughts and thousands of different feelings and sensations.

Her first reaction was shock, for sure, the second was a mix of things, not even she knows why this happened since she was mentally prepared to face him today, but there were so many things going through her mind at the same time that she felt dizzy.

Natasha recalled the time when Nick Fury pretended to share everything with her and she believed that he shared everything with her, that he trusted her like he trusts Maria Hill, he commented on a secret operation to locate the body of the war hero lost at sea.

After so long in which no government cared enough to rescue the body of soldier Steve Rogers from the bottom of the ocean, in fact it seemed that no one was worried, after all, telling the children, in the form of a legend, that Captain America's body was never found and leaving that air of suspense at the end so that the little minds would have a spark of hope that he might be alive, was essential to make his story a happy one.

Natasha could even imagine Agent Coulson when he was still little, listening to that whole story and being fascinated and growing up being very proud of Captain America, making him his favorite hero, an example to be followed... Natasha imagines this because Coulson always said he was a fan of Captain America and that was always very funny and despite that she couldn't tell him that the government and SHIELD were starting an operation to search for the body but she already imagined all the reactions he would have, everyone knew he was a fan of Captain America, everyone.

For Natasha, it was diferente tho. Knowing that they were going to find Steve Rogers' body had no effect on her, other than being curious about Coulson's reaction. She always thought the way he was praised was exaggerated in America... After all, she is a Russian, she didn't have the same childhood as american people, and she didn't see him as a symbol of anything. So she found him boring even before she met him.

Natasha knew that maybe Steve Rogers, without the persona of Captain America, could be different from how Captain was portrayed out there. The American national symbol has to be perfect, but maybe Steve Rogers wasn't, he couldn't be perfect. The chances of Steve Rogers, someone about whom very little was known personally, actually being a big son of a bitch were huge. Maybe he was an asshole, paid only to be political. Maybe all that going from being just a symbol to taking real action and joining the war was also a political act. How does Coulson fall for this? Natasha always overlooks it, considering that it's a story he heard when he was little.

Although she wasn't as hyped as everyone else when they found his frozen body, Natasha still had a certain curiosity, very well disguised, she could wait longer to see the body, but Fury gave her and Maria Hill access to enter the studio where the body was inside a huge block of ice. The cold in the room reminded her of Russia, reminded her of many things from the past, some things that were forgotten and that she remembered when Wanda Maximoff doped her with her powers and made her remember her ballet days, the times in the red room, the shooting training, her training partners, especially Yelena Belova.
