Meanwhile, the Bridgerton set was a marvel of opulence. Every detail, from the grand chandeliers to the lush gardens, was meticulously designed to transport the cast and crew back to Regency-era London.

Serena had spent weeks slipping into the persona of her character, feeling more at ease with each scene.

But today, an unfamiliar anxiety gnawed at her. Today, she was about to face one of the most challenging scenes in the entire series.

This wasn't just another romantic moment; it was the pivotal scene where her character, after episodes of tension and longing, finally succumbed to passion.

It required more than just a kiss—it demanded intimacy, vulnerability, and a raw emotional connection. And it was all going to be captured on film, to be broadcast to millions of viewers.

Serena sat in her trailer, the script clutched in her hands, her heart pounding as she tried to calm her nerves. She had done on-screen kisses before, understood the techniques, and even dated casually, but this scene was different.

The thought of it made her stomach churn. This scene wasn't just about a kiss; it was a full-blown love scene, the kind that left nothing to the imagination.

It required her to be vulnerable in ways she had never been before on screen, and the thought of being that exposed, even in a controlled environment, was daunting.

The director's voice crackled through the intercom, pulling her out of her thoughts.

"Serena, James, can you come to the set for a quick run-through?"

She swallowed hard, glancing at herself in the mirror. With a deep breath, she stood up and headed out to the set.

James was already there, his usual easygoing smile in place, though she noticed a slight tension in his posture.

The director, a seasoned veteran with a calm demeanor, greeted them with a nod.

"Alright." he began, looking between them.

"This is an important scene, and I want to make sure you both feel comfortable. Serena, you're the lead, and your character is the focal point here. It's all about showing that vulnerability, that moment of surrender. James, I need you to guide her through this, make her feel safe and supported." he continued.

James nodded, giving Serena a reassuring smile.

"We'll take it step by step. No rush."

Serena appreciated the kindness, but the knot in her stomach only tightened. Trust was key here, but no matter how much she tried to relax, the thought of being that exposed on camera made her skin crawl.

"Let's walk through the blocking first..." the director suggested.

"Just to get a feel for the scene." he added.

They moved through the motions, James placing his hands on her waist, his touch light and professional.

Serena tried to focus on the technical aspects—where to position her hands, how to angle her body—but her mind kept drifting to the fact that she had never been this intimate with anyone, let alone in front of cameras.

The rehearsal went smoothly, but when it was time to take a break, she could still feel the tension radiating through her body.

Later, as the day wound down, Serena found herself sitting alone in her trailer, her anxiety still simmering beneath the surface.

She scrolled through her phone, trying to distract herself, when a message from Severin popped up.

Severin:
Hey, how's it going on set?
