When (Y/N) awoke, he was not feeling good. He was back in his little corner of the Hermes cabin, someone having placed him atop his sleeping bag. Remnants of his time under Dionysus's influence were still haunting him in the back of his mind, even now he was still able to hear the sound of lyres and flutes playing a haunting melody. (Y/N) shook his head, dismissing the memory back into the recesses of his mind. He took a look around to see if anyone else was in the cabin, but he didn't see anyone. As such, he decided to head outside to check where everyone else was. However, before he could leave, he felt someone put a hand on his shoulder.

Turning to see who it was, (Y/N) saw Simon's pink and brown hair. He was pulling back on the son of Mammon, who was looking at him confused.

"You can't go outside," Simon whispered. "Because of everything going on with you, Chiron has ordered you confined to the cabin. I've also been ordered to make sure you stay."

"So you're my prison warden then?" (Y/N) joked. He was tempted to make a further comment but decided against it.

"Essentially," Simon continued. "Look, we're just worried about you, okay? We don't want you wandering off and getting in more trouble."

"Simon, I'll be fine," (Y/N) argued, though he didn't sound convincing, not even to himself.

"Don't make me get Thalia," Simon pointed out. That shut (Y/N) up real quick. "Just, stay here for a little bit, okay? I'll let one of the Hypno kids know that you're awake."

So (Y/N) spent the rest of the day confined to the Hermes cabin. The only other person he was really able to talk to was Simon, except anyone who dropped by the Cabin or the children of Hypno were apparently assigned to be his therapist. They asked him all sorts of questions about what he was seeing when Eidolons were involved, but he really had no answer for them. It was like asking him to describe a color he had never seen, or where he was before his birth.

So, long after the sun had set, (Y/N) was once more lying in his sleeping bag, trying to fall asleep. However, something was still bothering him. He could still hear the voices of the Eidolons in his head, whispering things to him in a language he'd never heard before. He turned onto his side, which happened to face him towards the door of the cabin. At the front entrance, he saw movement. It was blink-and-you'll-miss-it quick, but he could've sworn he'd seen the shape of someone lurking outside the front door.

(Y/N) threw the top of the sleeping bag off of himself and looked around. He had decided that enough was enough. If the Eidolons wanted him so badly, then so be it. But he wasn't stupid. He was going to ensure that, if he was going to go out, he would ensure everyone else's safety to do so. He grabbed someone's hoodie that was about his size and stuffed his pillow and sleeping bag underneath. Afterward, he took the drawstring out of it and ran it through the sleeve and down his arm before tying it around a stack of quarters which he stuck in his palm. Satisfied with what he had, (Y/N) left the Hermes cabin after putting Tentazione in his pocket and set off for the forest on the edge of Camp Half-Blood.

Looking left and right like a man with cops after him, (Y/N) slowly made his way away from the safety and security of the Olympian cabins. He occasionally looked up to the skies to ensure that no security harpies would come down from them to kill him for breaking curfew. Slowly but surely, he was able to reach what he was looking for; a clearing in the forest, the same forest where Capture The Flag was held. In fact, it was the same clearing and stream where he and Percy had discovered their respective heritages.

It was where the Eidolons had set up the core of their presence.

'How fitting,' (Y/N) thought to himself. Looking around, he could see the vaguely humanoid shapes of Eidolons staring at him through the trees, their eyes glowing bright white against the shadowy backdrop of the forest. Taking and releasing a deep breath, (Y/N) steeled his resolve. He had come this far and had no intention of backing out now.

"Well?" (Y/N) demanded. "It was me you wanted, right? Well, I'm right here!"

One of the Eidolons crept out of the trees, its head flicking back and forth, almost faster than (Y/N) could see. If it was possible for an entity to actively remove the light from the surrounding area, the Eidolon seemed to do exactly that, as the only thing he could make out about it was the bright, glowing eyes.

Now it was time for the part that easily took the cake for the hardest: keeping enough of his nerve to keep the bluff.

"But hold it there!" (Y/N) shouted. "I don't know if you freaks have night vision, but if you do, you may notice my torso's a lot bigger than normal! There's a reason for that! Around my chest is a bomb vest, and I got the detonator right here!" (Y/N) held up his right hand, the one that held his 'detonator' stack of coins. He stuck his thumb in the air, acting like he was threatening to press a button.

"Either you lot all promise on the River Styx to leave the Camp alone after you kill me, or I blow this entire place to Kingdom Come!"

The Eidolon stepped back slightly before its head flicked back and forth once again, clearly confused about this turn of events. Seeing this, (Y/N) grinned, mainly to fool himself into thinking he was brave enough for this stupid plan to work.

"So come on then!" the son of Greed shouted. "Let's make a deal!"

Hey, sorry this one took me a minute. There were some complications with my college, then I lost all motivation to write for a bit, then when I finally did find some again, I got Covid! Thankfully, this original section should be done within a few chapters and we can get back to the original speed with which I wrote this story.

Until then!
