The Sun Nearly Crashes

That was no more than ten minutes ago. Now, (Y/N), Percy, and Thalia were standing on the edge of the cliff, the same one where Annabeth fell, at Artemis's instruction. She assured them that she had called on Apollo to give everyone present, sans herself, a ride to camp.

The Hunters broke camp as quickly as they had set it up. The half-bloods stood shivering in the snow, unlike the Hunters who didn't seem at all uncomfortable, with Artemis just staring into the east. Bianca sat off to one side, talking with Nico. His gloomy face told everyone that Bianca was explaining her decision to him, causing (Y/N) to shake his head.

"Last time the Hunters visited camp, it didn't go well," Grover said, turning pale.

"How'd they even show up here?" Percy wondered aloud. "I mean, they just appeared out of nowhere."

"And Bianca joined them," Thalia said, disgusted.

"Cowardice," (Y/N) hissed. "Groups up with another faction the second she's informed of where she finds herself, and leaves her brother to fend for himself."

"It's all Zoe's fault. That stuck-up, no good-"

"Who can blame her?" Grover said, simping once more. "Eternity with Artemis?"

"Have an ounce of self-respect, dude, I beg of you," (Y/N) sighed.

"But she's so... into nature."

"You're nuts," Thalia said, shaking her head.

"Nuts and berries," Grover said dreamily. "Yeah."

Finally, the sky began to lighten. "About time," Artemis muttered. "He's so-o-o lazy during the winter. Be wary, half-bloods. The sun chariot is not as you think."

Then there was a sudden burst of light on the horizon. A blast of warmth.

"Don't look," Artemis warned, "not until he parks."

(Y/N) averted his eyes, as he could already guess where this was going. Considering he was always told not to look directly at the sun when it was 93 million miles away, he had no desire to put it directly in front of his face. He could see the light and feel the heat intensify around him until he felt like he was baking in his turtleneck. Then, suddenly, the light went away.

(Y/N) looked up and saw... almost exactly what he was expecting. In front of him was a red Maserati Spyder convertible. It was literally glowing from how hot it was, explaining the fact that the group was now standing on green grass with wet shoes, as the car had melted the snow in a perfect circle around it.

The driver got out, smiling. He looked like he was about seventeen or eighteen, and looked almost exactly like Luke at first glance. He had the same sandy hair and just about the same face, but was taller and had no scar on his face. The driver was wearing jeans and loafers with a sleeveless T-shirt.

"Wow," Thalia muttered. "Apollo is hot."

"I am literally right here," (Y/N) said.

"And you called Natalie Portman hot while watching Star Wars," Thalia pointed out. "What's your point?"

"... Touché."

"Little sister!" Apollo called. If his teeth were any whiter, he'd have been able to metaphorically blind them, even without the sun car. "What's up? You never call. You never write. I was getting worried!"

Artemis sighed. "I am fine, Apollo. And I am not your little sister."

"Hey, I was born first."

"We're twins! How many millennia do we have to argue-"

"So what's up?" Apollo interrupted. "Got the girls with you, I see. Need some archery tips?"
