"So why did you boneheads not kill him?" Luke asked the skeleton warriors. He pointed the tip of Backbiter at (Y/N), who was sitting on the side of the trail in handcuffs. They were all at the bottom of Hoover Dam, on the same trail that (Y/N) had hiked up with Thalia and the rest.

"Because I made them an offer that's in your best interest to accept," (Y/N) said, shrugging. "At least, in your best interest if the Titans want to win anything more than a slag heap."

"What?" Luke demanded. "What could we possibly stand to gain from keeping you alive?"

"I'd rather not repeat myself," (Y/N) said. "Get your 'General' on the line, and we can discuss. You're welcome to eavesdrop, assuming he allows it. Let's just say, my information will be one hell of a Revelation. If I don't get where I'm going, no one wins."

Luke narrowed his eyes and glared at (Y/N). The son of greed just looked at the traitorous demigod, unimpressed. "Can you hurry up? My wrists are starting to get sore."

At that time, the Dam released water into the Colorado River, causing a greater amount of mist to go into the air. Luke looked over and sighed, taking it as some kind of sign.

"Fine," Luke said, fishing a golden drachma out of his pocket. He threw it into the base of the waterfall, saying, "The General, Mt. Tamalpais."

(Y/N) stood, wanting to get in frame for the Iris Message, but skeletons put batons to his neck. He instantly put his hands up, an annoyed look on his face. "What am I even gonna do?"

The window of the Iris Message materialized, revealing a bald man in a suit and tie sitting on a rock. He was resting the front of his face on woven hands, clearly lost in thought.

"Sir," Luke said, stepping forward, "we captured one of the half-bloods heading west. He-"

"Then why have you not killed him yet?" The General asked.

"Because the rescue of Artemis is not my quest," (Y/N) said, stepping forward. "I accompanied them, yes, but it was more out of convenience, as our destinations were in a similar direction. But, I'm getting ahead of myself. Tell me, General, what kind of world do the Titans wish to rule? No, scratch that, what kind of world do you get out of this? Is it anything beyond the slag heap to be left by the Revelations of John?"

"And what does the final chapter of your Grandfather's book have to do with this?" the General asked.

"Good, you're already caught up on that. Next question, do you want the long or the short version? Full prophecy or just the cliff notes?"

"For being the Son of Greed, you are certainly forthcoming with this information," the General noted. "Why is that?"

"Because withholding the information about what I am doing is pointless, if not actively detrimental to everyone involved. The Titans want to rule over more than a slag heap, and I don't want Revelations to come to pass yet. Also, the fact that if I don't, I'm probably dead, so..."

The General's face tightened. Clearly, he was smiling now. "Well, I'm glad you understand your situation, at least. Still, the full prophecy you're working with, if you'd be so kind."

(Y/N) told Luke and the General the prophecy, drawing specific attention to 'See the End, and Hell shall fold.' "That's why I need to get to Death Valley," he said. "I think the entrance to Hell is there, and I need to walk in alive."

"And how can you know that?" Luke asked, not sounding convinced.

"Because if I'm 'shedding my soul,' but my soul is all that's left of me, how can I do any of the things I'm supposed to?" (Y/N) countered. "That, and I think the entrance literally showed itself to me two years ago. I think it's an old run-down shack on a ridge in the desert."
