"Die, little hero!" Atlas yelled, raising his javelin to impale Percy.
"No!" Zoe yelled, firing a whole glut of arrows at the gap in Atlas's armor near his armpit. The Titan bellowed in pain and turned to the Huntress, ready to smite her instead.
Percy reached down and felt for Riptide in his pocket. He realized he couldn't fight Atlas, even with a sword, before remembering the words of the prophecy that had sent them to San Franciso in the first place; The Titan's Curse must one withstand. He couldn't hope to beat Atlas. But there was someone who might stand a chance.
He turned to Artemis. "They sky. Give it to me."
"No, boy," Artemis said. Her forehead was beaded with metallic sweat, like quicksilver. "You don't know what you're asking. It will crush you!"
"Annabeth took it!"
"She barely survived. She had the spirit of a true huntress. You will not last so long."
"I'll die anyway," Percy said. "Give me the weight of the sky!"
Percy didn't wait for an answer. He took out Riptide and slashed through the chains holding Artemis to the rock. Then he stepped next to her and braced himself on one knee, holding up his hands, and touched the cold, heavy clouds. For a moment, he and Artemis held the weight together. It was the heaviest thing Percy had ever felt, as if he were being crushed beneath a thousand trucks. He wanted to black out from the pain, but he breathed deeply.
Then Artemis slipped out from under the burden, and Percy held it alone. His muscles felt like they had turned to fire. His bones felt like they were melting. He wanted to scream but lacked the strength to open his mouth. He began to sink, lower and lower to the ground, the sky's weight crushing him. He could hear nothing but the ringing in his ears. As for the others...
"Wait, who's playing Johnny Cash?" Grover asked.
Indeed, the faint sound of 'Ghost Riders In The Sky' by Johnny Cash could be heard, and if one were to look up one would see three flaming horses galloping closer in the sky. The sound of slightly off-tune humming could be heard, the beating hooves of the horses acting like drums. Riding atop the middle horse was-
"It's (Y/N)!" Thalia shouted, blocking a swing from Luke. She returned the favor with a swing of her own, knocking the back of her spear directly into Luke's stomach. Luke attempted to respond in kind, but the face of Medusa embossed into Aegis kept the traitorous demigod from attacking with full force.
"Yield!" Thalia yelled. "You never could beat me, Luke."
He bared his teeth. "We'll see, my old friend."
Atlas advanced on Artemis. She was fast, but the Titan's strength was unstoppable. His javelin slammed into the earth where Artemis had been a split second before, and a fissure opened in the rocks. Altas leaped over it and kept pursuing the moon goddess. She was leading his right back toward Percy. Atlas took another swing at Artemis while she was distracted by something while looking back at Percy, nearly slapping the goddess off the cliff.
A single shot rang out across the battle, and Atlas's arm was sent back the way it came, now sporting a bruise on his palm. The Titan turned to see who it was that had shot him, just in time for the three horses to make landfall, their riders climbing down. (Y/N) still had his gun aimed at Atlas while the man on his right was seemingly readying fireballs and the woman on his left was pulling stiletto knives out of her jacket.
"Sorry I'm late, lads," (Y/N) said, tapping his cane on the ground. "Had a few loose ends to tie up."
"You backstabbing cur!" Atlas shouted. "We had an agreement!"
