It's been a couple of days since Daisy and Jacob left and Maxine hasn't really been up to much. She's been laying in bed most of the time, not really knowing what to do with herself with nobody there.

She did listen to Gerards advice and start a painting which has kept her occupied. It's quite a surrealistic painting based off of her odd friendship with Gerard, which is the most exciting thing that's happened in her life recently. However every time she's painting it, she can't help but think of Gerard which is making it quite hard to complete.

Gerard is the first thing on her mind even when she tries to focus on anything else. She can't stop thinking about his charming personality and the way he held her when they hugged.

Maxine is standing at her easel, trying to continue the painting. She decides to include the blue and red tones from the Foo Fighters vinyl as it's a significant and constant memory that she has of him. She strolls over to her shelf to grab the vinyl when she sees Gerards business card. She stares at the address on it, knowing that she'll be lucky if she ever gets to go and visit his art space. As she glances under the address she spots a phone number, only assuming it can be his.

Maxine pauses for a second before shooting her shot and sending a simple text to the number.

Hey, how are you?

Well what's the worst that can happen, he can either reply to it, or he can completely ignore it right? Maxine knows that she'll probably never see him again so I doesn't really matter too much.

She waits in anticipation then remembers that timezones exist, it was 11am right now so he's probably fast asleep as it's pretty early over there.

Throughout the day she tries to distract herself by trying to finish the painting. Progress is being made but it's just a viscous circle of the painting reminding her of Gerard, she checks her phone and still sees no reply, so she continues painting but the cycle just continues. In a way, this routine does help her complete the painting. She steps back and finally feels a sense of relief and excitement that she was finally creative, which is something she hadn't felt in a long time.

The painting has lots of reds and blues to represent the vinyl he bought her. Flower patterns are intertwined with jagged black scratches to show their contrasting appearances and style. Some comic style sketches were thrown in which resemble Gerards own work as that's how they first met. It is all quite messy but also neat which carefully represents the brief time that they had together.

Maxine is seriously impressed with herself.
