"What time is Luke coming here?" Gerard asks Maxine. Over the last few weeks they've both been coming to terms with Luke as a friend to Maxine. She still feels guilty about his relapse and wants to show to him that Luke is simply a friend, nothing more, and she also thinks that they would get on well together. They have decided to invite Luke over to hang out and get to know Gerard, hoping to help him get over his problems.

"Half an hour I think!" She replies, walking over to sit down next to him.

"I don't know about this Max." He confesses, still feeling awkward about the idea. He bites at his nails nervously until Maxine pulls his wrist away and holds his hand in hers.

"It'll be okay, Luke's really nice! Trust me." She reassures him but he's still not a fan of the plan. He knows though that he is a genuine friend to Maxine, so as much as he hates the idea he still agrees to it.

"Why are you so worried Gee? You know I just want you two to be friends. Of course I want my boyfriend to get along with my friends!"

"Yeah I know, it's just that I want my girl all to myself!" He tells her whilst turning his body towards her, slightly leaning over her. She blushes and lets out a shy laugh at his protectiveness. She kisses his cheek then places both of her hands on his shoulders so that she's straddling his body which is now flat against the back of the sofa again. Gerard lays his head backwards as she slowly goes down on his neck, kissing it softly which sends tingles throughout his entire body. He grunts slightly and Maxine pulls away, biting her lips. He reaches his hand behind her head and pulls her in, colliding their lips together sharply.

"Only for you, no one else." She tells him as she pulls away, she looks down at him as his eyes flicker up and down her body. He bites his bottom lip and smirks at her, clearly enjoying the reassurance that she's giving him.

Soon enough a knock at the door makes Maxine jump up from Gerard's lap. She heads to the door and he follows, holding her waist instinctively.

"Hey!" Maxine and Luke both greet each other at the same time.

"Hi." Luke says awkwardly to Gerard, he smiles at him before shaking his hand. "Nice to meet you, properly this time." Gerard laughs.

They invite him in and sit down in the living room, Gerard sitting tightly next to Maxine after he's grabbed them all a drink, whilst Luke takes a seat on the other sofa. "So how have you been?" Maxine kicks off the conversation.

"I've been good I guess." Luke replies with a slightly sad tone in his voice. "You guess?" Maxine questions.

"Yeah, me and my boyfriend broke up, it's not been easy but it's fine I guess, I'll get over it." Maxine sends him a sympathetic look. "Oh sorry about that Luke, what happened? I thought-" Luke cuts her off.

"But anyways, I know you sort of explained it already but how did you two meet?" He becomes intrigued in his own question, rather than trying to come up with an answer to Maxine's. She looks up to Gerard, convincing him to speak up. He sees his opportunity to immediately remind Luke that Maxine is his girlfriend, just incase he's got any other ideas.

"Well I went to London for an exhibition, which Max was also going to, and she actually walked straight into me!" They all laugh and Maxine gets slightly embarrassed. "We spoke for a while there and I just instantly fell in love with her. Sounds cliche, I know! Then the next day we ran into each other again and we unintentionally spent the day together, getting to know each other really well. Honestly that was one of my favourite days! Just spending all day talking to you." He continues.

"He even bought me a vinyl!" Maxine adds on. Gerard smiles, remembering how happy that small gesture made her.

"Yeah that was like my little hint that I really liked you, I just didn't know if you felt the same!" He admits and Maxine's heart melts. "Then obviously I had to come back to New York but we sort of exchanged numbers and kept in contact. And then not even long after she randomly surprised me by coming here to see me! Clearly she never left!" Gerard gets more comfortable in the conversation now, even laughing along with Luke.
