Although Maxine was hesitant at first, She's definitely excited to finally go to New York. She gets to see what Daisy raves about within the city, she gets to see Daisy again and of course she might even see Gerard again.

She packed a couple of days worth of clothes last night which she checks to see if she missed anything. After a thorough check she grabs her suitcase and travels to the airport. Jacob had booked her a flight from London City Airport which conveniently has a tube station just outside of it, so Maxine jumps on the underground excited to get to the big city.

---------------

Maxine:

Hey, I'm here where are you?

Jacob:

We're at the front of the parking lot. See you in a minute!

Maxine exits the airport and instantly spots Daisy leaping out of the car. She runs over and pulls Maxine into a tight hug. "I know it hasn't been long, but I've missed you!" She cries from happiness.

They walk back over to Jacob and Maxine climbs into the backseat whilst he puts her suitcase into the back. Jacobs car is sleek and spacious which Maxine expected.

The drive to the hotel isn't far. Maxine feels herself growing more excited as they approach the skyscraper in which the hotel is enclosed in. The street they drive down is lined with buildings of different purposes, some coffee shops, fast food places and little spaces that you can hire out or buy. The buildings are a mix of an old run-down brick with big modern windows, allowing a full view into the shops. The top half of the buildings have the same brick pattern with smaller windows, they remind Maxine of some of the streets back in London.

"We just drove past Gerards studio!" Jacob yells over the music, Maxine is suddenly dragged out of her trance of admiring the buildings. "Oh that's cool." She replies quietly. Jacob and Daisy smirk at each other.

Within a minute of the quick, awkward conversation they pull into a corner and park up. Daisy hops out of the car to assist Maxine with her suitcase and shows her the way to her room. Jacob checks in as he's got all of the details.

The room is spacious with windows stretching from the floor to the ceiling. The view out into New York is something Maxine has only ever witnessed through a film, so being there in real life is something that she is yet to fully comprehend. It is incredible and looks almost never ending. Pink and yellow sky intertwines the other skyscrapers as the sunsets, Maxine watches a plane fly over in awe before Daisy snaps her out of it.

"It's nice isn't it!" She smiles. Maxine nods, grinning from ear to ear. "Right well we've got to go, but I'll meet you tomorrow morning okay!" Daisy pulls Maxine into a hug and heads back downstairs. Maxine watches as Daisy meets Jacob back in the car and waves as they drive away.

She lays down on the bed in silence, taking in her surroundings as the low sun beams through the windows.
