Girlfriend

Maxine eventually slept properly through the night, not waking up again until Gerard woke her up. He wanted to leave her peacefully sleeping but Daisy had texted him asking what time he was dropping Maxine at hers to say goodbye. He told Daisy to come to his and see her instead which she thought was weird, but nonetheless she agreed. He knew that Maxine would want to be the one to break the exciting news to Daisy so he woke her up.

When Daisy arrived Maxine told her what their plan was and they were both ecstatic. Daisy stayed for a little while before heading off to work. It was still quite early in the morning so Maxine and Gerard got back into their bed, not falling asleep, just being lazy.

They've stayed in bed almost all day, Gerard has gotten up a few times to get food for the two of them but other than that they've just been cuddling and watching the TV that he has in his room. It's now quite late in the afternoon and Gerard needs to get ready for work. He goes to sit up but is immediately weighed down by Maxine placing her hand on his chest practically begging for him to stay with her for a little longer. He sits back down and lets out a calming sigh as he switches off the TV. They sit wrapped around each other until Gerard breaks the comfortable silence. 

"Thank you for last night Max."

"It's okay, are you okay now?" She sits up and looks at him with a slightly worried face. He nods at her, not realising how vulnerable he was last night. 

"I enjoyed being next to you last night, it really helped" He admits, changing the subject. 

"Really? You know you can stay right, I don't want you sleeping on the sofa just because of me. Your side of the bed will get cold!" She jokes with him with a hint of seriousness. "Only if you want too though."

"Why wouldn't I want to sleep with my gorgeous girlfriend?" 

Maxine's heart races as she gets flustered. Her cheeks burn up into a bright shade of red at his words 'my gorgeous girlfriend'. Did he just declare her as his girlfriend? Are they officially together now? Maxine is lost for words, all she can do is stare hazily at his golden eyes. The expression in his eyes tells her that he owns her, it's only him and no one else. It's not in a possessive way though, he is genuine and still has that same glint of adoration in his eyes that he's had since he first saw her. 

"Girlfriend?" Maxine says softly with slight shock in her voice. 

"If you're okay with that sugar." 

"Of course." She lunges herself at him, their lips connecting in a passionate kiss. He reaches his hand behind her head, grasping tightly onto her hair and pulling at it gently. She lets out a slight moan in response, making Gerard heat up. He immediately wraps his other arm behind her back and drags her body closer to his. She feels the warmth of his bare chest against her as she lays her torso across him, almost as if she's straddling his body. Their lips crash yet again and his tongue dances around hers. Gerard pulls away, licking his lips as he bites them and sends Maxine a quick smirk as he leans into the crook of her neck to leave a mark which she enjoys thoroughly. The sensation of his sharp teeth against her sensitive skin sends butterflies throughout her entire body. He looks back at his creation with a proud facial expression which makes Maxine laugh. She lowers herself back onto his chest, resting her head just below his collarbone. 

Gerard eventually gets up after running his fingers through Maxine's hair for a bit. He takes out a plain black button up shirt and his classic black waistcoat with a pair of black jeans. A black belt is threaded around the waist of his jeans before he layers up the top half of his body.

Meanwhile Maxine gets changed in the bathroom. She's chosen to wear a selection of the clothes that Gerard had bought her, a small brown cardigan with a green cropped top underneath and light blue jeans. She walks back into the bedroom to see Gerard sitting on the bed, half dressed with his shirt unbuttoned. He stares at her, tracing his eyes around her body as he spots that she's wearing an outfit that he bought her, knowing that she'd look good in it. 

He finishes off his outfit with a black tie which he puts on in the mirror. He pushes his hair back, noticing Maxine standing behind him in the mirror. She stands in front of him and gets on her tip-toes, allowing her to reach for his hair. She styles it backwards, strategically placing some loose hairs over his forehead. She feels a warm grip on her waist and she quickly pecks him on the lips, he looks down at her with a soft smile. 

"You look cute!" She says to him, still maintaining eye contact.

"You're cute too, always." He replies. "Come on, I'll drop you to Daisy's before I head to work."

Maxine and Daisy have arranged the evening together whilst Gerard goes to work. Daisy would have finished work now and Gerard has an important meeting today, hence the business attire that he's wearing. They get into his car and Gerard drives straight to Daisy's apartment.

"I'll see you later, text me if you need anything!" He leans over to the passenger seat, kissing her cheek.
