HOW did this happen?

Re-entering the Arena after losing Chrollo, (Y/N) tried to process the mess that she had somehow wound herself in. Swiftly walking down the hall, her footsteps echoing along the tile, she rode the elevator up to her floor and promptly slammed the door to her room shut, frustration seeping through her normally calm exterior.

This is becoming quite... bothersome.

How do I correct this?

Just as she was about to sit, an intercom sounded that it was already time for her fight. Feeling her brow tick at the interruption, she swept out of her room and down to the arena where her opponent already was waiting. The crowd was cheering for her, but all she heard was muffled noise that pounded against her skull in an annoying manner. As the room surrounding the brightly lit ring darkened, allowing the colored lights and fog to appear to announce hers and her opponent's arrival, (Y/N) tried to quell her raging thoughts.

Keep your emotions at bay.

"Okay, everyone!" Cocco started, her voice loud and echoing across the vast room. "Are you ready!?"

Settle your heart.

"It's time for (L/N), the Reaper, to go up against Zaigon, the man with a speed like no other!"

Feel nothing.

Flicking her eyes back open, the crescendoing and blaring noise of peoples' cheers attacking her eardrums, (Y/N) faced Zaigon. He was a man with a lean build and a scar etched down his brow, his mannerisms suggesting a confidence that came with being stronger. It was obvious that he thought he'd be the victor in their match. The overseer approached the ring, raised his arm, and then dropped it as he started for them to begin. In a moment, Zaigon rushed forward, his movements akin to a blur that made the audience marvel in wonder. (Y/N) did nothing, instead channeling Gyo to her eyes to see that Zaigon's aura was surrounding his body to gift him that incredible speed that made him almost impossible to follow with the naked eye.

Yet, it left her with only disappointment.

Grabbing Zaigon by the throat with little effort, she slammed him into the ground, the very force from her attack cracking the arena in two. Gasps and cheers engulfed her, but again, she heard nothing, too consumed in her own thoughts to notice. Staring down at Zaigon, it seemed as if she were looking through him more than anything, conjuring up her (F/C) mist to withdraw her scythe, the blade gleaming dangerously in the light.

"Holy smokes!" Cocco announced with clear excitement. "(L/N) has just revealed his scythe! Will Zaigon get out of this alive!?"

Raising her scythe, (Y/N) was just about to plunge it into Zaigon's heart when she halted.

"Please!" He begged, fear shining in his eyes. "I beg of you... please spare me."
