A sudden knock on the door that evening pulled (Y/N) from her dreamless sleep

A sudden knock on the door that evening pulled (Y/N) from her dreamless sleep. She groaned softly at the interruption, but climbed out of bed nonetheless. Rubbing a hand over her face, wondering who it could be at such a late hour, another knock merely distracted her from her thoughts. Approaching the door after sliding on her cloak and opening it, she all but wanted to slam it back shut the moment she saw who was on the other side.

"Chrollo," she uttered, her voice cold and unattached. "What are you doing here?"

"To see you, obviously," Chrollo answered whilst giving a smile that she knew all too well wasn't sincere. "And to inform you of something."

"Inform me of what?" Her eyes narrowed, already apprehensive enough.

"You see, I have a prior engagement in York New City that cannot be overlooked, but the thing is... I do not wish to part from you," he murmured as he stared at her with those piercing grey eyes of his, eyes that seemed to be filled with so many emotions yet also none all at once. "Especially since I have only now just found you."

"I'm sure this won't be the last time we'll see each other," she mumbled as she leaned against the doorframe and folded her arms over her chest, glaring at him silently. "Especially if you have any say in it, Chrollo:"

"Of course," his eyes curved at her words.

(Y/N) said nothing more since it seemed to her that he had already spoken everything he needed to, instead moving to close the door. Unfortunately, Chrollo stopped her before she could, snatching her wrist and slamming her harshly into the wall, caging her there with his other arm. She barely even flinched at his reaction, feeling no pain nor fear as she stared at him through the shadow of her hood. Noticing this, the look in Chrollo's eyes shifted from that faux kindness to something more primal.

"(Y/N)..." he muttered as leaned his face closer to her own, watching for any hint of reaction from her even when their was none to take in. "This rebellious act of yours... I hope it will soon fade, as I've been very forgiving until now in the way you've been treating me."

"I have no need for your forgiveness," she uttered as she easily pried his grip from her wrist off, lowering her head so as not to look in his eyes anymore. "I never have needed it."

"I recommend you listen to me because I'm only going to give you this warning once," he whispered, his threat obvious from the very way his tone darkened to extreme levels. "Next time, I won't be so forgiving. My leniency in letting you do whatever you want for so long has thinned, meaning it's time now. It's time that you be mine. Whether you like it or not, such a fact will be true."

"Your words are meaningless to me, Chrollo," she let out a slow breath.

"It doesn't matter if they are or aren't," he gave her a chilling smile, one that she remembered from when she had last him so many years ago. "This conversation has made me realize something, my dear, sweet (N/N)—something that I'm sure will correct your attitude." (Y/N) didn't question what, and neither did he further elaborate at first as he instead smoothed back her hood so he could take in her face that he hadn't seen in so long, leaving a small peck on her forehead before muttering, "It made me realize that I just have to take you."

With that, he injected a syringe into her neck that made her eyes widen.

It was a lowly trick.

Staring into Chrollo's chilling gaze, she guessed she had made the mistake of presuming that he wouldn't do such things. Then again, even six years ago, she always knew what he was. Soon enough, she slumped over, unconscious.

Staring down at (Y/n) with an impassive expression, Chrollo's lips then split into a rather psychotic grin that didn't hide the infatuated shimmer of his eyes. He had waited so long for her to finally be back in his arms, and he wasn't going to waste another second. He had realized so long ago that they were meant to be, especially when out of everyone she could have picked up, she chose to save him. She thought he would just give up on finding her again after she had left, but she was wrong.

He dedicated himself to finding her.

Like he said, he wouldn't be able to continue living onwards without her by his side.

"I did everything just so that I can be able to see you again... just so that we can live together... forever..." Chrollo mumbled under his breath as he supported (Y/N) who was still unconscious, her breathing even and light. "No matter how much you fight me. no matter how much you curse me... I will never let you go. I made that mistake once, and I won't allow it to happen again."

Walking down the hall with (Y/N)'s body cradled in his arms, Chrollo then stopped when feeling a certain presence to his left, his eyes shifting in that direction to meet Hisoka's burning amber gaze. Hisoka stepped out from the shadows where he had hidden himself in with a flick of a card between his fingers, an unknown emotion crossing his expression when seeing what the Phantom Troupe Leader was doing with the person he had become so interested in. More so, when taking in (Y/N)'s features for the very first time, he found himself pleasantly surprised with a woman's face, not a man's face.

His smile broadened.

Look at that.

Illumi did know that she was a woman.

"I didn't think you'd be here, boss," Hisoka drawled, placing one finger against his teardrop-marked cheek.

"I've come to make a pick-up," Chrollo merely responded before moving on.

Hisoka's eyes narrowed.

The only reason he was even involved with the Phantom Troupe was because of how tantalizing the idea of fighting Chrollo was due to his immense power. But even then, now that he had found (Y/N), all he wanted to do was engage in battle with the one known as Reaper.

Now to see the both of them together...

It's highly... irritating.

How do they know each other?

Well. Machi did mention that the boss was looking for someone from his past—someone that even she and the others know nothing about...

This is becoming quite annoying.
