23 - Forced proximity with Gojo

"You look nice."

You laughed as you turned around. "Thanks Nobara. The skiing gear does look cute, hey?"

The ginger laughed as she did up her own jacket. "Oh definitely. It's super cute. But watch out with the boots. Strap them in right - otherwise they really hurt if you don't."

You nodded before trying to adjust the shoes again.

Nobara snorted, "You're doing it wrong. Here. Let me fix it."

You weren't given an opportunity to protest. The girl crouched down and re-did all the straps. "There you go. Now your feet won't kill you in twenty minutes."

"Thank you." You giggled before holding your hands out. Nobara eagerly took them. "You ready to go see the others?"

She nearly frowned. No. She didn't really want to see the others. She just wanted to stay with you. But alas, all good things eventually come to an end.

"Yeah." Nobara smiled. "Let's go."

"What do you MEAN we have no skis?" Nobara's jaw dropped.

Gojo threw his hands up, "Hey! Not my fault the airline lost them!"

Yuji frowned. "You were literally carrying them out the airport."

"Nuh uh."

"Yuh huh. I saw you carrying them."

Yuta laughed. "Seems like they conveniently got lost."

Megumi nodded his head too. "Yeah."

You took a step forward. "Well don't sweat it. There's a shed out back with skis." The group (except for Gojo) gave you a funny look. "What? I read the brochure."

Gojo grinned and clapped his hands. "Brilliant. (Y/n), wanna help me grab them?"

There were groans of protest.

"Gojo, just let us go. Don't make the poor girl work."

"Multiple people can go."

Gojo shook his head. "Absolutely not. Two people max. Me and (Y/n)." He paused. "Uhh . . . because the shed's small."

You chuckled at Gojo's attempt to sidestep the protests. "Alright, Gojo, I'm up for it. Let's grab those skis."

Nobara gave you a small, forced smile. "Be careful out there. It might be a bit chilly."

To emphasize her point, she adjusted the scarf on your face.

As you and Gojo headed toward the shed, you noticed the crispness of the air and the way the snow crunched beneath your boots. The winter landscape was breathtaking, but it was clear that Gojo was more interested in the opportunity to tease you.

"So," Gojo said, casting a sidelong glance at you, "how are you feeling about hitting the slopes? Nervous? Excited? Or just in it for the view?"

You laughed, adjusting your scarf. "A bit of everything, honestly. I've never skied before, so I'm a little nervous. But it's definitely exciting. I can't wait to try it."

Gojo's grin widened. "You'll do great. And if you need any help, you know where to find me. Just don't let me down with those cute boots of yours."

You rolled your eyes playfully. "I'll try not to. But you know, if I fall and make a fool of myself, it'll be your fault for not warning me or catching me."
