39 - Bonus ending: Nanami

(A/n): These would essentially be the chapters for Nanami if he was included in the book! So many of you wanted him, but I had to make a pick between him and Yuta.

I chose Yuta.

This is gonna be the same deal with Gojo: Nanami's been aged down. So he's like 20-ish in this story. Mc is still a young adult.

Also, this doesn't follow the same storyline as the original plot of Flirtatious.

Helpful like Nanami

It didn't take a genius to put together a bed frame. But apparently, you really, really needed one. Because why the hell was your allen key not working?

Damn Maki, bailing on you last minute. Now you really needed her.

How were you supposed to lift the frame and screw it all together at the same time? You weren't Sukuna. You didn't have four arms.

You groaned before sitting down on the floor. Maybe Yuji would be able to help and-

Ah shit. He was on a mission with the other's.

You sighed and flopped back onto the hard floor. And yes - you did lay there for as long as you could. A soft knock at your door was what finally had you sitting upright.

You groaned. "Come in!"

Maybe it was Maki. Maybe she decided to ditch whatever else it was she was doing and help you.

But to your surprise, it was Nanami who stepped into your room. He looked amazing as usual - tie meticulously done and not a single hair out of place.

He glanced around the mess of tools and parts strewn across the floor, an eyebrow quirking up in amusement. "What happened here?" he asked, his voice a blend of curiosity and mild exasperation.

You sighed, feeling a little sheepish. "Just trying to assemble this bed frame. Maki bailed, and now I'm stuck."

Nanami crossed his arms, his expression softening as he surveyed the chaos. "Need a hand?"

"Only if you know how to do this. I swear, I was doing fine until... well, you can see how that turned out." You motioned to the half-assembled frame, half-expecting him to back out.

Instead, he chuckled lightly and knelt down beside you. "I may not be a carpenter, but I can follow instructions. Just show me what to do."

Your heart did a little flip. It wasn't just his willingness to help; it was the way he focused so intently, brows furrowed slightly as he picked up the allen key. "Where do we start?"

You pointed to the instructions, feeling a rush of gratitude. "Okay, first we need to attach these side rails to the headboard."

"Simple enough." Nanami worked methodically, each movement precise as if he were tackling a mission rather than furniture assembly. You watched him, mesmerized by his confidence and efficiency.

"Isn't this a bit beneath you?" you teased, trying to lighten the mood. "Shouldn't you be off saving the world or something?"

He glanced up, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Even sorcerers need to know how to handle basic tasks. Besides, it's nice to take a break from all that."

The way he said it made you feel oddly special. Here was someone so capable, taking the time to help you with something as mundane as furniture assembly.
