"Yuji?"
You stepped into your bedroom a little surprised to see it was only Yuji. No Nobara.
The boy spun around from where he was looking out the window to stare at you. "Oh hey! Great! You got my message!"
You nodded, stepping further into the room and closing the door behind you. "Yeah, I did. What's up? Nobara didn't mention what she needed help with."
Yuji's expression turned even happier. "Actually, it's not Nobara. I texted you. I left my phone in my room and just decided to use hers. I wanted to ask you something."
You raised an eyebrow, curious. "Alright, shoot. What's going on?"
"You wanna learn how to do some cool tricks on skis?"
You gasped and jumped. "Hell yeah! Let's do it!"
"Great! Suit up! We're out of here!"

"Yuji . . . this thing's pretty high man." You peered over the edge of the ski lift. "I'm not going to die right."
He laughed. "Absolutely not. There's a bunny hill at the top. That's our stop. Worst case though - just crash into me. I'll handle the rest."
You frowned, clutching the safety bar as the ski lift slowly ascended. "Great, thanks for the vote of confidence."
Yuji, who was sitting across from you, grinned. "Hey, you've got this! Remember, it's all about having fun. Besides, if you fall, you'll just be in the same place as me—bruised but smiling."
You shook your head, trying to ignore the butterflies in your stomach. "So, what exactly are we learning today? Some wild tricks or just basic stuff?"
"Screw the basic stuff! We're doing the craziest stuff possible!"
You stared at Yuji, blinking in disbelief. "Uh, are you serious? I thought we'd start with some basics before diving into 'crazy.'"
Yuji's grin widened, and he gave a determined nod. "Come on, don't be a wuss! I believe in you. Besides, how else will you get better if you don't push your limits a bit?"
You sighed but couldn't help the excited tingle running through you. "Alright, let's do it. But if I end up in a snowbank, you're buying me hot cocoa."
Yuji chuckled. "Deal! But I'm betting you'll be fine. You're tougher than you think."
The ski lift reached the top of the slope, and Yuji helped you off. You followed him, trying to steady your nerves. The vast expanse of snow stretched before you, and the thought of attempting daring moves was both thrilling and terrifying.
If you died, you were so going to kill Yuji.
Yuji gathered you at the top of a moderately steep section. "Okay, the first trick is a basic jump. Nothing too fancy, just enough to get you used to the feeling of catching air."
You nodded, watching as Yuji demonstrated. He made it look effortless, soaring a few feet off the ground and landing smoothly. "Piece of cake," he said with a grin. "Your turn."
You took a deep breath, positioning yourself on the slope and gaining some speed. When you reached the jump, you pushed off, feeling a momentary weightlessness before touching back down. The landing wasn't perfect, but you managed to stay upright.
Yuji clapped enthusiastically. "That was awesome! See, you've got it!"
You smiled, feeling a rush of accomplishment. That wasn't so bad! "Okay, what's next?"
