You swim happily through the beautiful colorfull corals, passing by some schools of fish, you were returning home after a successfull hunt, one big fish clapsed at your jaw as the other one lays limp in your hands, your sharp claws slightly dig into the soft flesh as you get closer to your den.

You announce your arival at your lil cave with a happy trie, you giggle when you hear a squeak and a soft thump in respons, some shuffeling and a bright grinning face peeks out of your nest "darling! Your back!" Sun, your mate, happily exlaims as he quickly tries to swim towards you only to fall face first into the soft sand, his tale and arms wraped up in some seaweed.

You giggle as you put your dinner nnear the nest neatly and crouch over sun, spinning him around to face you, you smile warmly down at him as he squirms and wriggles in his makeshift prison.

"Dont-ugh-worry seaflower-i-uuh!-i got this!" You chuckle, cuping his face with both of your hands and ceasing his struggles "oh my beautifull precious sun." You purr, sun look up at you sheepishly with a soft smile "yes my coral?" You sigh as you nuzzle his nose and lick his cheek affectionately "what am I gonna do with you my lil trouble maker?" You say in a soft teasing voiice, swiftly cutting the seaweed and setting him free, he chuckles sheepishly as he fets the plants off of him..

"Im afraid im not quite sure what you mean!" he shirps happily, swiming back to the nest and laying on bis back, looking up at you upside down with a massive grin. You smile as you offer him his dinner, sattling cozily above him and nuzzling onto him, your boddies press comfortably as you both enjoy your meal.

"Oh, Thank you my sea star! This is a pretty good catch you got today hhm?" You nod as you bomp your head affectionatly against his temple, taking another bite off your cheek "but of course sweethear, only the best for my sunshine~" you purr, licking his neck, he melts in your affection and basks at your love, returning an adoring nuzzle of his own with a viberating purr, licking your nose making you wiggle it, he chuckles and presses his forhead to yours "your too good to me my seaflower.. I love you so much.." he purrs softly, you smile and purr back, softly chirping with pure adoration, "i love you too my darling.."

You both were goldfish mers, content to live your life together as mates, you met on mating season, you both bumped into eachother trying to hide from other courting mers, and in the end, you both fell for eachother, how ironic.

But you could have never asked for a better mate, sun is soft, kind, charming, affectionate, and loving, his all you ever dreamed of in a mate, life couldnt have been more perfect..

But.. of course.. the univerze just had to ruin it..

You were tought from a young age that fate, is a thing you must eccapt, and welcom it with open arms, trying to fight or deny it would never end good for you, its goona happen anyway, even if you like it or not, so the only thing you could change in your point of view, the way you look at fate and destiny, the way you could try and work with it, embrace it.

Its sometimes hard, and sometimes easier, but you never expected it to be this challanging.

You really try, and you tried hard, but fate seemed to be really determind this time.

You lived peacefully with sun for the last couple of years. It was warm, and nice, the fish were plenty, and other mers didnt pick much fights with you.... but then... a pod of predetour mers sttled in these calm waters, nor.aly pods would just swim by, cause there arent much prey around here, but this pod seemed to be quite interested in this quiet peacefull corner of the ocean, and it did not seem like its gonna leave soon..

and worst of all, it was a mer-shark pod. One of the most dangerous kind of mers for your specific kind.

Being a goldfish mer has it percks, but it also has it downcasts, hour born beautifull, and its in your nature to seduce mers in your beauty and pleasent melody, but it makes you quite the easy prey to a lot of other mers, your smaller, weaker, and slower.
