It's been a few weeks since the wedding incident and we get our new interns today! What none of us knew until after the wedding was that George would be one of them.

"Excuse me um, are you Dr Torres?"
"Yeah why?" Callie and I both turn around to see a group of interns staring at us
"Those things are yours not mine"
"Thanks for the reassurance Callie"
"You're mine?" I ask
They all nod
"Ok I need worded answers, nobody can hear a nod if their back is to you or there's commotion"
"Yes" they all say
"Okay I'll give you the rundown. I've got about two more weeks until these babies come out so you won't be with me long but once im back you'll need to know the rules."
"Rules?"
"Yes, rules. Are you familiar or done i need to swaddle you and bring you up to the daycare?"
That gets a laugh from the others
"Rule 1. Don't whine, there's nothing more I hate than whining. Rule 2. There's no such thing as a stupid question unless there is. Rule 3. I have my own crap i don't want yours, if it's gossip save it for the OR. Rule 4. If your patient is dying make it stop. And if you don't know how to do something ask a nurse or me. And lastly rule 5. If you want to talk about me say it to my face because I know you'll talk about me anyway. Understood?"
"Yes" they all say but one
"Dude what's your name"
"Peter Shetty"
"Ok dr shetty what did I say five minutes ago about the nodding? If I ask you a question in the OR and you nod, i cant hear a nod. I'll ask you again, understand"
"Yes ma'am"

All of us sat in our spot and made fun of the interns, minus George.

"Elena help"
"What, I have interns now. Four little puppies"
"I don't know how to be chief resident. None of the residents are listening and baileys hurting my feelings"
"Calliope Torres, Man up. Bailey hurts everyone's feelings, and I'm here."
"You're only here because I'm your sister"
"But I'm here! And look here's everyone else"
"Everyone listen up, we have multiple MVC's due any second"
"We're here aren't we?" Alex asks
"Just get ready okay? And monitor your interns" Callie says
"okay 1, 2, go get stat packs. Uh 3, 4, go meet the ambulances." Demands Christina
"One and two" mer laughs
"I can't remember their names"
I pull Christina aside
"What's 3's name?"
"I just said I don't remember"
As mer and Alex Sent their interns off I kept mine with izzie, she's my secret weapon right now because she actually talks to the interns.
"Okay! Everyone this is Dr Stevens she's explaining a trauma so listen up"
After izzie walked away I was writing things down when I overheard her interns
