"Elena, peds today?" Owen asks

"No, ortho?" Callie questions

"Yeah, what's wrong?" I ask

"Oh. Not me." Callie mutters

"I've got a scared kid on the phone, Ruby, her mom's not moving and I've gotta get to the other phone"

"Are you still there?" I hear the kid ask

"Is this Ruby?" I ask

"Yes"

"Alright Ruby I'm one of Owens's friends. We're transferring you to a different line for better service"

"No! Don't leave" Ruby cries

"Owens at the other phone and I'm right here. Okay?"

"Okay."

~~

"She's on the floor?" I ask

"Yes. Please hurry."

"Ruby how old are you"

"Eleven"

"Okay the phone should be ringing soon" I say looking over at Owen

The phone in the trauma room finally rings and Owen takes it out of Amelia's hands

"What was that" Amelia asks

Owen turns the phone on speaker

"Little kid, her mom and is unconscious" I say

"Ruby put the phone to your moms chest" he says

"Obstructed airway" Amelia says

"Why are her lips turning blue" Ruby asks

~~

"Ruby what type of phone are you on?"

"What?"

"Cellphone? Landline?"

"What's a landline?" She asks

"Uh like a phone with a cord"

"No. It's a cellphone"

~~

We end up muting the phone and arguing over how to get the moms airway back.

"What can I do" Richard asks while walking in

I mute the phone again

"She's gonna need a chest tube" I say

"She's a Little Girl Elena"

"Yeah, she needs a mom."

"I'm with dr Torres here" Richard and Amelia say

"I got a straw!" Ruby says gathering materials

"Great now you're going to need-" he pauses and sighs

"Owen what?" We ask

"I can't ask her to do this"

"Ruby, we're gonna need you to get a knife. Not big, but sharp. Do you still have the skewers from the s'mores?"

"You want me to stick her, don't you?"

Richard explains how to do it an Ruby gets afraid of the blood.

~~

And now we have to teach her cpr and her phone is dying.

"Ruby keep singing and keep pushing. Help is on the way" I say
