Going, Going, Gone.

Turns out my trachea was crushed, in fact my whole neck was crushed. Christina went to Minnesota to get away, and mark is still in the hospital. Mark has until 5:00.

"Callie"

"Yeah?"

"Don't let the kids come today, somethings going to happen."

"Are you okay?"

"For now, I'm gonna go sit in marks room for a little. I already called out"

"Alright"

"Hey mark, um It's Elena. Sofia's doing good, we miss you, a lot. The new interns are here they uh they're okay. Callie and Derek sit here a lot, I would come by more often but my lung keeps collapsing. Funny right? Anyway, it'd be cool of you to come back. Jackson's here so I'll let the posse do their thing"

"Dr Mel Barnett"

"Elena Torres" I say

"Alex Karev"

"Right. Arizona really liked you guys"

We smile until he says he's going to take away the Africa project

"Can he do that?" I ask Alex

"I don't know. But it's up to you because I'm leaving."

"Thanks."

I enter Marks room for 5:00. Dr Webber gives the speech and talks us through the process. We do this every day but it's different when the person is someone you know.

"You can cry" I say

"What?" Derek and Callie both ask

"You're both holding back your tears, I'm saying you can cry." I say leaving the room

I'm walking through the hall when I see dr Wilson come out crying from the intern appy.

"What's wrong?" I ask

"Sorry I was um" Wilson starts to say

"That surgery was designed for you to fail. It's sets you as the example. Don't let it get to you." I say

"Why is she so mean" Wilson asks

"What?"

"Is it that plane crash?"

"Excuse me?"

"I heard she and a few other doctors were in a plane crash. They were stranded for like a week, people died or almost died or something."

"Don't mention the plane crash. You don't talk about that. I was in that crash. We all have trauma from it but you don't do you don't get to go around talking about it. Dr Grey is not mean She's strong. People died or almost died. But that crash is not something you get to talk about." I say before I walk away from her

After that I go home and knock on Callie and Arizonas bedroom door.

"Go away Callie" she says

"It's me"

"Oh"

I take that as a yes and come in

"I uh I think I know the answer but How're you doing"

"I have one leg. How do you think I'm doing."

"Bad"

"That's a good guess. I mean people live full lives without a limb but it's stupid. I mean she cut it off"
