Stop and Hold Still

I hear Lexie screaming at a patient to "stop and hold still" but I decide not to correct her because I figured there was a reason.

Erica Hahn is now officially working for us and there was a giant ambulance crash today so it's going to be a long day.

"And uh im gonna go ahead and announce this a code blue" I hear Lexie say

I run into the room to see blood everywhere. And a pulse.

"Lexie you do know what a code blue is right?"

"I figured we could use all the help we can get" she says as blood squirts all over me

"Okay yeah good call. Did you page Yang and Sloan?"

"Yes"

"Okay. Tell me what to do"

"What? You're the resident?"

"I'm serious Lexie I'm not on this case you have to tell me what you need"

Lexie and I are paging Christina 911 over and over but this bitch won't come.

"How're you doing mr hanscomb?" Lexie asks

"A little freaked out if I'm being honest"

"Lexie more pressure"

"But he's not bleeding? I have it under control."

"Yep but this nurse is about to put in an IV and he's gonna-"

He jumps before I can even finish my sentence.

"Jump?" She asks

"Yes."

"Grey stop the bleeding" Christina says finally walking in

"My hand slipped" She says

"Why are you here?" Christina asks me

"She called a code so I ran in"

"Oh"

"Do we take him to an OR" Lexie asks with her voice trembling

"There's no ORs I was just down there" Christina says

"Oh"

I leave the room once Dr Sloan and Dr Yang come in to go help the people in the ambulance crash.

"Elena"

"Kinda in a rush make it quick"

"Dr baileys husband is threatening to divorce her if she doesn't leave surgery right now"

"Oh my god?"

"I know, and I'm the messenger. Help me."

"That's all you George" I say running out

"Dr Grey, you could use some stitches" Richard says looking at mer

"I can help" I say once he's done with his father-daughter speech

I bring in mer to the ER to stitch her up while she tells me about the crash

"Dr Torres" I hear Lexie yell

"Yes dr grey?"

"Mr Hanscomb, he didn't make it" she says tearing up

"I'm very sorry"

"It's my fault, I didn't pack the artery enough"

"No it's not, and yes you did. Dr grey there was no telling if that artery was going to blow or not"

"Don't call me that"

"Dr grey?"

"I don't feel much like a doctor right now"

"That's how you know you're going to make a great one."

"Elena. Once you left the room the first time he- Mr Hanscomb, Said he no longer had a crush on me."

"Okay?" I laugh

"He said he didn't have one on me because he knew I had one on you." She said before she walked away

"Lexie!" I yell out but she didn't turn around

At home Christina walks in with Lexie, after I had just told mer what she said.

"Oh, Elena. I didn't know you'd be here"

"I live here for the time being." I say

"She has no one" Christina tells mer

Mer Looks around before talking "I'm drinking. Are you drinking Lexie?"

"A drink would be nice."

They all get up before Lexie sits next to me

"I'm sorry, it was so out of the blue and a really bad moment. But I mean it. Want a drink?"

"I don't drink. I'm going to check on the babies" I say before walking upstairs

I Walk downstairs later to find Lexie, mer, and Christina dancing it out.

"Cmon izzie" mer calls out to her and George

I walk in with the babies when george yells at me to dance

"I have children in my arms" izzie takes Nicolas and george take Valeria

"Now you don't!" Says george

I laugh before I join in dancing

After awhile everyone headed up to bed except for me and Lexie.

"You can hold her" I say

"Hm?"

"I see you staring at Valeria, you can pick her up" I say with a little laugh

She laughs and gets all smiley picking her up out of her bouncer. I grab Nicolas out of his and we sit back down on the couch.

"Sorry about earlier, I didn't even think about the kids when I offered you a drink"

"It's not that, I had a problem with alcohol so I don't drink. But I mean you're half right too"

"Oh. I didn't know"

"Not many people do."

We start talking for awhile and turn on a movie with the babies asleep in our arms.

"Cover his eyes" Lexie says

"What?"

"He's a Baby!" She says covering his eyes before kissing me

I sit in Shock as Lexie begins to apologize but I cut her off by kissing her.

I take Valeria back and head up to bed.

"Goodnight Lexie" i smile

"Goodnight" She says all flustered
