'So you called this meeting just to inform us about this and ruin our day?' Sanya said.
'No sanya. There's more. So, since our school is not arranging a farewell, I think, we should throw an unofficial farewell!' he said.
'Means?' rachit asked.
'Means, let's contribute a little amount from each of our pockets and throw an unofficial farewell for all of us!' he said.
'So we're giving farewell, to...ourselves?' Sanya said in a confusing tone.
'Look, none of us know where we'll all be, next year. This is our last chance to enjoy, party and be with each other! And I think, if our school couldn't give one to us, then let's arrange it ourselves! Like, book a venue, and make the arrangements.' he said.
'I'm in!' Akshat said. 'now if the main point of this meeting is over, can I leave, aayush? The series I need to binge watch and my pizza, both are waiting for me!' he sounded as if he was in a rush. I smiled and shook my head, I mean how can anyone even think of watching series before one and a half months of boards?
'Yeah, Akshat you can leave!' he said. 'Others?'
'But how will we arrange it?' Sam asked.
'Samarth I don't have anything on my list as of now. To plan something, I need support of you all. I just wanted to know if people are interested in an unofficial farewell, and if they do, I'll think about venues and dates and places. So, what about others? You all in?' he asked again.
'I think, let's do it!' Sam said.
'But what about date? We have our boards coming our way!' Isha asked.
'Isha, we'll think about it later. But whichever date we finalize, of course we'll keep boards in mind!' Aayush replied.
'Consider me in!' Jhanvi and Sanya said.
'Me too!' isha replied.
'I'll say after venue and dates are finalized' ankit said.
'okay...others? Shreya, iqbaal, soumyam, Tia...?'
My name was mentioned- but I stayed mum. While I was thinking, a message popped up in my chat.
'hey, you're not in?' it was a message from Sam.
'I'm just ..' i replied.
'what are you thinking?' he replied.
'about the farewell...I mean, how can I say yes when I know nothing about venue and date?' I wrote.
'venue and date? What about it?' he asked.
'like, where will it be, if it would be far how will I go, what will i wear, how will I manage studies and all...' I answered.
'oh god Tia, have you done some course in overthinking? Why are you worrying about this? I'll be there too! Just say yess!!' he texted.
Just say yes.
Just say yes.
Just say yes.
Oh my god! I'm blushing! I am already set to imagine how would it look like if he ever proposed me! switch Tia, come back... he's just asking about farewell!! Farewell. F.A.R.E.W.E.L.L. nothing else!!
'I'm in!!' I quickly said.
And as i said this, he replied with a smiley emoji.
'I have trusted you on this...now if this turns out to be a mess...you're not getting spared!!' I texted him.
