A FOLDER IN HER NOTES.
(AUTHOR'S NOTE: WOULD'VE KEPT DIARY, BUT NOW I'VE FIGURED OUT THAT NOWADAYS NOTES IN PHONE ARE MORE VERSATILE THAN DIARIES. I DUNNO WHY, BUT OKAY.)
Sam took me out today- it was so much fun. I must have changed outfits like a hundred times this morning—okay, maybe five—but still, I had to look perfect, right? I mean, it's not like I was dressing up for Sam... but, well, maybe just a little? I wore a white t shirt, and baggy jeans. He was supposed to pick me up today at around 10 this morning. And how mercy of him- to arrive 15 minutes early? I was setting my hair when he called and said that he was already here. That shocked me at first but anyways. When I saw him standing there, waiting for me, I had to remind myself to breathe. Calm down, Tia, I thought.
"It's just Sam."
But let's be real, it's never just Sam, is it?
First of all we went to the chaat house in the morning, where we always go, and I swear the morning rush and run was making us double think if we should be entering in at this time. But still, Sam wanted to go, so we took the courage and went in. We were almost getting pushed every now and then by people wanting to place orders. But still we chose to stay in the line. And can you imagine- how stupid these owners are- they know that there's so much rush and run and they still had no air vent or at least a fan for us. I mean- come on!
I was so tired by getting people hit around and then Sam did something so sweet- like he always does. He stood behind me, and might have watched me getting pushed by the people around so he quietly placed his two hands around me, at a distance of about 2 inches from my skin, so that no one can touch me or I wouldn't get hurt by people's rush. His hands still had some scars from vaibhav's fight were there - which were exposed and got hurt by the rush and run but he didn't even flinch!!!!!! His hands were firm, in a soft yet protective way. I couldn't express how I felt!!!!!!!
We had chaat over there talking about stuff, and then he took me to janpath market. Yes! Shoppinggg!! He said that he would be gone when my birthday arrives so he wanted me to shop in prior and buy me a gift of my choice. And then I corrected him- it's not GIFT it's GIFTS. There's an 'ess' behind the word- if we're in janpath. He laughed and shook his head. But afterall he can never disagree with me, can he? Even if he's mature and I'm the one playing the immature one, still he has to bow his head down and say 'yes madam' to everything I want. That's a rule!
(author's note: guys, take notes, again.)
We went to different local stores, and he bought me four things in total. He kept following me, as I hopped from one store to another asking for prices and options. At first I wanted to buy a kurti, so we went to a store and I looked at a few in the shades of purple. There were 8 choices, and I tried all of them to help him have an idea. When I came out in the first one, he was pretty much enthusiastic and had some point of view; but then by the 8th one I found him sitting there and yawning; and he was more opinionated and eager to listen to the story of the formation of this store which the shopkeeper uncle was telling him. He was talking to him like a friend. Typical extrovert- anyways.
That made me laugh. I asked him which one looked the best. And offending me again, he said that "take any. All of them look the same." And this time- me and the shopkeeper- both were pretty much offended. This is such a boy thing you know- they think everything which has the same color is the same afterall! But no! There are shades and there are different styles.
I forced him to choose one out of them and he picked one with chikankari work- which I bought; or rather he bought me. We started walking around to the market again- to search for something more. I was walking and he was following me, wearing his cap since the heat was so scorching. But heat wasn't an issue for me because I was just too much excited to shop. I was walking and looking around while he called me, "hey Tia!" I turned back and saw him walk towards the other end of the path. He reached out into that jwellery shop and called me. I followed him to see what he was up to. A beautiful oxodised jhumka was what he immediately picked. It also had mirror work and they were huge with frills hanging around. "beautiful." I said in my mind.
