The next morning, Matsu was up early, taking advantage of the quiet to prepare a special breakfast for everyone. The smell of sizzling bacon, fresh pancakes, and coffee filled the kitchen as he worked. Calie and Marie joined him, both eager to help and chat.
Calie was busy flipping pancakes with a playful grin. "I think I've finally mastered the art of pancake flipping," she said, her tone light and cheerful.
Marie, who was whisking eggs and preparing the batter, smiled at her. "Just don't get too carried away. We don't want to end up with pancakes on the ceiling."
Matsu chuckled from the stove where he was cooking the bacon. "I'm glad to see you two so enthusiastic. I think we're making a feast fit for royalty here."
Calie winked at him. "Well, that's what happens when you invite royalty to breakfast. We have to keep up the standards."
As they worked together, the kitchen was filled with the sound of laughter and conversation. Matsu couldn't help but feel a sense of joy as he watched Calie and Marie interact with his sisters, who were still getting ready in their rooms.
After a while, the kitchen began to fill with the aroma of the meal coming together. Yumiko, Iyomei, and Khamenei eventually joined them, their eyes widening at the sight of the breakfast spread.
"Wow, this looks incredible," Yumiko said, taking in the array of food with a look of delight. "You really went all out."
"Just wanted to make sure everyone had a great start to the day," Matsu replied, placing a fresh batch of pancakes on a serving plate. "I hope you're all hungry."
Yuki, appearing a bit groggy but smiling, joined the group and took a seat at the table. "I'm definitely ready for breakfast. Everything smells amazing."
Matsu served everyone, making sure to give extra attention to his sisters and their guests. As they sat down to eat, the table was filled with the clinking of cutlery and the murmur of contented voices.
Calie, taking a bite of her pancake, looked at Matsu with appreciation. "This is fantastic, Matsu. You really know how to cook."
Marie nodded in agreement. "I think this might be the best breakfast I've ever had."
Matsu beamed, feeling a deep sense of satisfaction. "I'm glad you're all enjoying it. It's nice to have everyone together, sharing a meal like this."
The conversation flowed easily as they ate, discussing their plans for the day and reminiscing about old memories. Yuki asked Matsu about some of the places they had visited on their tour, and he happily shared stories and anecdotes.
As the meal came to an end, everyone felt pleasantly full and content. Matsu, Calie, and Marie cleared the table and tidied up, while the rest of the group relaxed and chatted.
With breakfast concluded, Matsu felt a renewed sense of connection with his friends and family. The day ahead promised more adventures and opportunities to enjoy each other's company, and he was grateful for every moment they had together.
As the morning progressed, Marie, Calie, and Yuki began preparing to leave, carefully packing up the recording equipment and loading it into their car. Matsu and his sisters helped with the heavy lifting, and the atmosphere was a mix of efficiency and warmth.
Calie was bustling around, making sure everything was packed neatly. "Thanks again for everything, Matsu. We had a blast. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing you this weekend."
Marie nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it's been great catching up and spending time together. It's not often we get to have a proper hangout like this."
Yuki, who was overseeing the final arrangements, turned to Matsu. "I really appreciate the hospitality. This city is incredible, and I'm glad we got to spend some time here. The recording went smoothly, and I'm excited to hear how the song turns out."
