A couple of days later, the weekend arrived, bringing with it a sense of ease and anticipation. Matsu had spent the past two days immersed in mundane tasks—catching up on paperwork, tending to household chores, and taking some much-needed time to decompress after the weighty revelations about his family. Now, with the weekend in full swing, he and his sisters were on their way back to Ironhaven, a familiar destination that promised a break from the intensity of the past week.

As they pulled up to their favorite café, Matsu felt a wave of nostalgia wash over him. The small, cozy establishment had always been a haven for him and his friends, a place where they could unwind, laugh, and forget about the world outside. His sisters eagerly hopped out of the car, their excitement palpable as they headed inside.

The café was just as they remembered—warm, inviting, with the familiar scent of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods wafting through the air. Inside, the rest of the group was already gathered around their usual table, exchanging stories and laughter. Matsu's friends greeted them with a mix of cheers and teasing remarks, the kind that only close-knit friends could get away with.

They spent a few moments catching up, sharing snippets of their week while waiting for their orders. Matsu found himself relaxing, the tension from earlier in the week fading away in the presence of his friends and family. The café's ambiance, with its soft music and comfortable chairs, was the perfect backdrop for their reunion.

As they waited for their drinks, Matsu suddenly felt a pair of hands cover his eyes from behind. A mock deep voice, clearly trying to sound mysterious, whispered in his ear, "Guess who?"

Matsu grinned, instantly recognizing the playful energy behind the gesture. Without missing a beat, he said, "It's Calie and Marie—one hand each."

There was a moment of silence before Calie and Marie, the two culprits, burst into laughter. They pulled their hands away, revealing themselves with wide, teasing grins.

"How could you tell?" Calie asked, her tone a mix of mock disbelief and genuine curiosity.

"Yeah, we were so sure we'd trick you," Marie added, her sarcasm laced with amusement.

Matsu chuckled, turning to face them. "You both have bracelets on opposite hands," he explained with a knowing smile. "Calie, you wear yours on your left hand, and Marie, yours is on the right. It wasn't that hard to figure out."

Calie and Marie exchanged amused looks, clearly impressed despite themselves. "Alright, you got us," Calie said, playfully ruffling Matsu's hair. "But don't think we won't get you next time."

Matsu laughed, feeling a sense of warmth and camaraderie wash over him. The playful banter, the familiarity of his friends, and the comfort of being surrounded by those who knew him best—it was exactly what he needed. The weight of the recent revelations seemed to lift even further, replaced by the light-hearted joy of the present moment.

They all settled back into their seats as their drinks arrived, and the conversation flowed easily. Stories were shared, jokes were made, and for a while, the world outside the café ceased to exist. Matsu found himself grateful for this time, for these friends who had always been there for him, and for the sense of normalcy that they brought into his life.

As the afternoon wore on, Matsu realized that despite everything that had happened, there were still moments like these—moments of joy, connection, and laughter—that made it all worth it. And in the company of his friends and sisters, he felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

As the group settled into their usual lively chatter, Blaze started off the updates with a heavy sigh, leaning back in her chair as she looked at Matsu. "So, since you left," she began, "I've been taking your place in tactical takedown. And let me tell you, it is tough. I have no idea how you juggle being king, CEO, and chancellor while doing this too. Seriously, how do you manage all that?"
