Calie stirred awake as the first light of dawn filtered through the curtains, her eyes fluttering open with a burst of excitement. Today was their day off, and she could hardly contain her enthusiasm. She quickly sat up in bed, her long black hair, which naturally faded into vibrant hot pink at the ends, spilling over her shoulders as she turned to nudge Marie awake.

"Marie! Marie, wake up!" Calie whispered, her voice bubbling with energy.

Marie groaned softly, pulling the covers over her head in a half-hearted attempt to stay asleep. "It's too early, Calie," she mumbled, her voice still heavy with sleep. Her platinum blonde hair, which gradually shifted to a striking lime green at the tips, peeked out from beneath the blanket.

"But it's our day off!" Calie insisted, tugging at the covers. "Come on, we've got plans!"

Marie sighed, finally relenting as she peeked out from under the blanket. Though she was still drowsy, a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. Calie's enthusiasm was infectious, even if she wasn't quite ready to match her energy levels just yet. "Alright, alright. I'm up," she muttered, rubbing her eyes.

As they both got out of bed, Calie bounced around the room, already grabbing her phone to start planning their day. "Let's call our friends and see who's free to hang out!"

Marie, still waking up, nodded as she stretched. "Sounds good. I could use a relaxing day with everyone," she said, her tone more subdued but no less eager.

Calie quickly dialed Blaze and Wally, their close friends. After a few rings, Blaze picked up, sounding a bit groggy. "Morning, Calie. What's up?"

"Blaze! Are you and Wally free today? We're planning to hang out!" Calie chirped.

Blaze chuckled softly. "Wish we could, but we've got work today. We'll try to swing by later, though."

"Okay, we'll hold you to that!" Calie replied, undeterred as she moved on to call Angelo and Orca.

Angelo answered almost immediately, his voice bright. "Hey, Calie! What's up?"

"Angelo! You and Orca free today? We're planning a hangout," Calie asked, excitement in her voice.

"Actually, yeah! We both have the day off too. We'll definitely come over," Angelo replied, and Calie could hear Orca agreeing in the background.

"Awesome! See you soon!" Calie said, already moving on to the next call.

Opal and Marina were next, though they couldn't join until later. "Our day off is tomorrow, but we can swing by in the evening," Opal said.

"Great, see you later!" Calie replied, not missing a beat as she called Terry and Jackie.

Terry picked up, and Calie immediately heard a soft groan in the background. "Hey, Calie," Terry greeted.

"Terry! You and Jackie coming over today?" Calie asked.

"Yeah, we'll come over, but Jackie's not feeling great. Cramps," Terry explained, his voice tinged with concern.

"Oh, poor Jackie. We'll take it easy today, then," Calie said with a sympathetic tone.

"Thanks, Calie. We'll be there soon," Terry replied before ending the call.

With their plans set, Calie turned to Marie, who was now more awake and smiling at her cousin's boundless energy. "Everyone's coming over! Well, almost everyone. Blaze and Wally have work, and Opal and Marina will be here later, but the rest are free!"

"That sounds perfect," Marie said, a hint of excitement creeping into her voice. "But first, let's call Matsu. He might be making breakfast."

The two quickly set up a video call, and within moments, Matsu's face appeared on the screen. He was in the kitchen, busy making breakfast for the family, but he smiled warmly when he saw them.
