Gianna's Point Of View

The soft glow of the sun shined through the sheer curtains. My heavy eyes fluttered open, taking in the familiar room.

My eyes trailed over the large paintings hanging from her light walls before trailing over to the TV, which was still on from last night.

The bed was empty and so so cold it sent my mind wandering.

Where could she have possibly gone? And why didn't she tell me?

This felt all too familiar. My heart sunk to the bottom of my chest, and a hollowness replaced it.
Would she come back, or would she just let me leave, and we never talk again?

I thought she liked me. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe Eden would treat me just like she did.
Or like everyone else did.

I sat up in the large bed, pulling her dark sheets over my bare body. I combed my fingers through my tangled hair before grabbing my phone off the charger.

The bedroom door pushed open, revealing the woman I had fallen in love with. A smile grew over her face as she walked over to me, holding two cylinder-shaped glasses that contained a deep green liquid.

A sense of relief washed over me, and I blinked away the tears that were swelling in my eyes. I forced a smile to hide the fact that I was drowning in negative thoughts, ones that I shouldn't have had about her.

"Good morning, baby," she said, placing one of the glasses on the nightstand.

"Good morning," I said, inviting her to sit on the bed.

She looked so good this morning, from how her navy blue leggings and matching sports bra hugged her body to how her honey-blonde curls pulled into a high ponytail illuminated her face.

Her lips met mine for a brief kiss before she held the smoothie straw to my lips, "It's kale, spinach, pineapple, mango, and green apple."

I took a sip, taking in the tart taste of the smoothie before my face frowned up. "Why is it spicy?" I asked, which caused her to fall into laughter.

"I forgot, there's ginger in it," she said between laughs. She grabbed my chin, pulling me in for another kiss before she stood from the bed. "Ginger is good for you."

I shook my head, sipping more of the tart smoothie, the burning sensation building up rapidly.

"Did you sleep okay?" she asked, softly rubbing her thumb over my cheek.

I nodded, "Yeah, until I woke up alone."

Her eyebrows raised, and I quickly covered up my bitter feeling for her leaving me in bed alone: "I'm just kidding, but I would've preferred if you had woken me."

"So then it's not a joke," she said, holding my gaze. "If you actually feel someway about me leaving you, then you aren't kidding."

"I guess not," I said. "But can you wake me whenever you're gonna leave?"

"Sure, baby," she assured me before kissing my cheek. Her soft voice echoed behind her as she headed to her closet. "Drink your smoothie, and get ready; we have a Pilates session downstairs."
