Gianna's Point Of View
I sat at my desk answering emails from faculty and eating my breakfast, as I did every day while I waited for the bell and my students to come in. It being Thursday meant the week was almost over and I could have the weekend to myself. I had already created my weekend-to-do chart and included the things I wanted to do there, like go for an early morning run on the beach.
After sending my last email my phone began to ring, causing me to grab it out of my bag and see who the caller was.
"Hi Eden" I spoke not bothering to stop the smile that spread across my face.
"Hey Gianna, how are you?" Her soft voice came through the phone.
"I'm good, how are you?" I asked her leaning back in my chair and crossing my arms over my stomach.
"I'm good also, so I have a free lunch today..." She trailed off which had me wondering what she was about to say.
" Can I meet you somewhere on your lunch break?" her words echoed through the phone.
" I-I would like that," I said not being able to control my cheeks from heating up.
"Pick a place and text me the address?" She asked.
"Sure, I'll text you later the kids are coming in," I told her seeing my first set of kids coming in.
" Bye, Miss. Graves,"
"Bye, Miss. Winslow" I said before our call disconnected.
More of my students came in and took out their notebooks starting our warm-up activity while I sat in my chair all giddy about my date? later.
Soon I was falling into teaching, starting my students off with a chapter of our book. Even though I needed to do my job, Eden remained on my mind. I could barely get through our book because I was imagining how our date would go.

"But, They are lousy hunters," I read the end of the chapter to my class. " Okay guy's get your lunch boxes or badges so we can go to lunch," I told them hopping off my desk.
"Hey heyy, you coming to the cafeteria for lunch today or staying here," Kelsey said coming in.
"I'm actually going out," I said with a huge smile across my face.
"What! With who?" She squealed rushing over to me.
"With Eden, she has a free lunch today so she asked to take me out," I said.
"Stoppp a cute date?" Kelsey said in awe.
"I don't think I'd call it that, I don't know what to call it honestly but we've made some type of progress," I told her grabbing my purse and keys.
"Like what? I'm invested," she said following me out of my classroom with my kids.
"We've been talking more, she compliments me all the time. We went to dinner the last few nights but not like a date, Lily was there. And she brought Lily and me stuff to make chocolate-covered strawberries" I said.
"Like at your house?" Kelsey asked.
"No her building has a full kitchen in it, to my surprise she doesn't have a private chef," I told her as we walked the halls.
"I need to find me a man.. or a woman like this" she sighed jokingly. "So this has been going on for a week?" she added her tone growing more intrigued.
"It's been two, it started when I did the second parent-teacher conference and agreed to tutor Lily," I told her, "Girl I don't know what's going on between us but I think I like it," I said thinking back on my last few days with Eden.
