Gianna's Point Of View

I helped my students back up their stuff so that they could head out soon and I could bring Lily home to work on her lessons.

"Miss Graves, can we get food before we go to your house?" Lily asked getting her stuff so she could come to sit up front with me while I waited for my students to leave.

"I don't see why not," I told her.

For the last few days, I had been giving Lily her lessons at my house because it would eliminate me running into Eden. Eden would send over Valentina- her assistant to pick up Lily, which was great cause I just didn't want to see her. Especially since she could make it to lunch with another woman and not me.

Adrianna and I have been seeing each other more and more, and however I liked her company all I could think about was Eden.

Tonight after Lily leaves, Adrianna and I are planning to get take out and watch some movies, just because I haven't seen her since Saturday when I saw Eden with her new girlfriend.

"Lily, what do you gonna get honey?" I asked as we walked to my car.

"Chick-fil-A?" She suggested allowing me to open the door for her before climbing in.

"Okay sweetie, we can get that," I told her before closing the door.

"You know Miss. Graves, I enjoy doing these lessons with you. The other kids are a bit slow so getting to work with you by myself is less annoying," Lily said as I got in the car.

"Well I'm glad you like our lessons love," I smiled at her through my rearview mirror.

"Yeah and you're really funny," she said looking out the window as I pulled out of the school parking lot.

"I'm glad you think so, I don't get that very often," I laughed keeping my eyes on the road.

"Can you tell the joke about the nose?" She asked.

"What did the left eye say to the right eye?" I asked her knowing she already knew the answer.

"What Miss Graves?" She asked.

"Something between us smells," I told her which caused her to burst into a fit of laughter.

The joke isn't even all that funny, it was one I used to tell my kindergarten students when I first started teaching that they loved.

"You are so funny," she said between laughs.

"Thank you," I told her looking at her briefly.

Soon we were in the drive-thru at Chick-fil-A getting our food and heading to my apartment. Once we got there we headed straight up and ate our food while we began our lesson on science.

After about 2 hours, I felt she made some good progress and I wanted to shower and clean up before Adrianna got her which would be around 6, when Lily would be gone.

"You did so good sweetheart, you want to watch TV for the rest of the time?" I asked her gathering her papers.

"Okay," she said sliding out of the grey dining chair.
