Gianna's Point Of View
Finally catching a break from my hectic morning, I sat at my desk answering missed emails and grading my students morning work.
Keys jingled around my door before the heavy door opened, revealing a familiar pair of icy blue eyes.
"Good Afternoon , Gianna," Julianna said, walking in. Her perfectly styled hair swayed over her shoulders as her heels clicked against my floors.
"Good Afternoon," I smiled cordially.
"I saw you came in late today," she said, placing a stack of envelopes on my desk.
"Yeah, I had a-"
"As you know, the winter festival is Friday," she cut me off, her piercing blue eyes holding mine.
"It was brought to my attention that you don't participate in any activities with the school, so you will be participating in the winter festival."I had to physically hold back any unprofessional comments I wanted to make, " I have something really important to do after school so-"
"It wasn't a question." She quickly cut me off again, which raised my eyebrows. "Gianna, you will attend the event on Friday. And your attendance will be observed."
"I would really appreciate it if you'd stop cutting me off and allowed me to talk," I snapped.
"Gianna, your attitude is unnecessary and highly unprofessional," she sighed. "It will be included in your evaluation."
I sighed heavily before leaning back in my chair. She rested her hands on her hips, eyeing me up and down before swaying her blonde hair over her shoulder.
"I will also need you to pick out a charity for the upcoming event in a few weeks," she instructed, "but there's something else that I would like to talk to you about."
I nodded, grabbing one of my colored pens off my desk to distract myself from her lecture. I twirled the pen around my fingers, looking between her light eyes.
She crossed her arms over her chest, and it wasn't hard to recognize the displeased look on her face. "Is there any reason in particular that only one of your students passed the test with nearly flying colors?"
My eyebrows furrowed heavily, "Are you implying something?" I questioned, holding her gaze.
"Well, it was brought to my attention that you have been sleeping with one of the parents on the committee."
"Excuse me?" My voice was laced with irritation.
"Lilith Winslow passed the test with a 356, nearly answering every question on the test correctly, whereas your other students are barely reaching a 300."
"Okay? Are you implying that I jeopardized my job to cheat for her?" I questioned, looking up at her. "And who brought this to your attention? My relationships outside of work hours are none of your concern."
Julianna's expression remained stern, her voice bouncing off the walls as she said, "I'm implying that your relationship may have compromised your professionalism. And as for who brought it to my attention... I can not disclose that information; just know it's someone concerned about the integrity of our school."
