Eden's Point of View
I pulled up to the snowy cabin listening to Gianna's light snores while holding her hand. After she bawled her eyes out in my arms, I took her inside the local diner showing her all my favorite foods.
The second we got in the car from the diner she was out. Like completely out. Everything about the way she sleeps made my heart melt. Her long full eyelashes that fanned over her cheeks, her full, plump lips she had covered in chapstick, her perfect nose and the way it flared as she breathed.
I found myself staring at her, admiring her. I watched her chest heave up and down slowly, she looked very peaceful, different than how she had been looking for the last few days. She's the most valuable thing that I've ever put my eyes on and I would give up everything in my world to protect her.
For some reason, I feel like her being here may have made her feelings towards her family worse which isn't what I was trying to do. I just didn't want her to be alone during the holidays, I find her often staring off into space or just admiring my family.
She often tried to avoid the family activities my moms set up like she did this afternoon which makes my heart gleam with sorrow.
"Gianna," my voice came out almost like a whisper.
She stirred slightly before cuddling further into my arm. Her bubble braids were now frizzy from her head resting on the seat, her eyes were puffy from her crying and yet she looked more beautiful than she already is.
Seeing her like this, vulnerable and bare was a completely different experience, one that I wanted to help her get through.
"Gianna we're back baby, you can go sleep upstairs," I said pulling my hand out of hers.
I ran my fingers over her cheeks which caused her eyes to flutter open, her dark orbs took in mine sending butterflies fluttering through me.
"Carry me," she murmured softly before a smile grew over her lips.
"Carry you?" I repeated back to her, which earned a nod.
"You carried me out of the club," she smirked before a huge yawn took over.
A soft chuckle left my lips, "You're just being lazy," I told her sliding out of the black SUV.
I rounded the car, opened her car door, and helped her out. Before her feet could touch the snow-covered ground I swept her up in my arms, carrying her bridal style to the large wooden cabin.
"I gotta put you down to unlock the door," I chuckled stopping at the short steps.
"You suckkkk!" She giggled as I put her down.
"Just because I have to put the keys in the door?" I asked playfully as I walked up the steps.
I searched my key ring for the right key before putting it in the door and unlocking it. Before I could open the wooden door, I felt a chilling sensation on my back.
I swiftly turned around seeing Gianna standing there with her hand over her mouth, holding back her laughter.
"I know you did not just do that," I said walking down the steps.
