Gianna's Point Of View
The sun beamed straight into the blinds of my apartment, filling the room with its rays.
I flung the soft pink comforter off my bare legs, swinging them around and placing them on the fluffy carpet that laid atop the light wooden floor of my apartment.
Easily checking the time on my alarm clock, the vibrant white numbers displayed the time.
9:52 am.
I grabbed my phone off the charger, seeing the messages from my friends and the emails from the faculty at my job.
I bit the inside of my cheek thinking of her- her words from last night to be exact.
"How about we have that parent-teacher conference.. say tomorrow at noon?"
Since it was now going on 10, I needed to decide whether or not I was going to go through with the conference.
Suddenly I was standing from my bed and searching my purse for the Olive green business card, the one with her name over it in gold letters. The one with all of her business contacts on it.
Before I knew it I was dialing the number, awaiting her to pick up the phone. I quickly drew in a deep breath as she answered the phone.
"Eden Winslow" her voice sounded firm through the phone.
"I-uh, Hi this is Gianna" I stumbled over my words feeling slightly intimidated by her tone.
"Ohh Miss.Graves?" her now softened tone echoed through my phone.
"Yeah-yes," I said crossing my arm over my stomach.
"Are you calling about the parent-teacher conference?" She asked.
"Yes, are you free at noon still?" I asked.
"Yes, you can come by my office I just have one last meeting before I am free" her softened voice spoke causing me to fall into a trance.
"Okay, see you then, " I said before the line inevitably disconnected.
Not sure what to expect I quickly went to the shower, feeling the hot water melting into my skin. The scent of my coconut soap filled my nose.
Eventually, I was done showering and sliding on a pair of bright pink dress pants and a white tank top crop top that hugged my upper body.
I pulled my dark hair back into a claw clip bun with strands framing my face. Looking into the mirror as I applied clear lip gloss over my brown pencil-lined lips.
As soon as I was spraying my perfume, I was out the door and making my way to Winslow Enterprise, where I only got the address from the business card.
After 30 minutes of driving into the city, the huge buildings towered over me. The streets were busy, filled with many different people many of them being tourists, others who just wanted to shop, and some who were headed to work.
I pulled into the dark parking garage and headed up the silver elevator into the business.
Stepping off the elevator felt surreal, the huge white walls and giant floor-to-ceiling windows that displayed the city.
"Hi ma'am, can I help you?" A female voice projected over the white marbled desk causing my feet to stride towards her.
"Hi, I'm supposed to meet Miss. Winslow?" I said unsure of what to call her really.
"Miss.Graves correct?" She verified looking between me and her computer causing me to politely smile and nod.
"Alright right this way, " the woman stood, rounding the desk to lead me down the white hallway.
