Eden's Point Of View

After a few more hours of shopping, we finally headed to the cabin. I unloaded the car while the two of them ran into the house to pick out what rooms they wanted as if they weren't already designated.

I walked into my bedroom seeing Gianna spread out across the bed. I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face, feeling as if she was where she belonged.

"This is the most comfortable bedddd," she groaned burrowing herself further into the bed.

"Yeah well it's mine, so get up," I laughed dropping my suitcase next to her on the bed.

"Noooo, it's so soft and fluffy," she said wrapping up in the festive plaid blanket that draped over the bed.

"You need to go unpack, when my moms get here we're gonna be busy and you don't need to live out of shopping bags and your suitcase for the week," I told her unzipping my suitcase.

She groaned rolling over on her back, "I don't minddd, and I would loveeee to sleep right here," she said watching my every move.

"You can stay, as long as you don't snore, and stay on your side of the bed," I told her taking out some of my clothes.

I noticed how she shyly looked away, "Like share the bed with you?" She asked turning back to me.

"Yes or you can sleep in your own bed," I chuckled turning to put my clothes in my dark wood drawer.

"I mean, won't your parents say something about their granddaughter's teacher sharing the bed with their daughter?" Her voice echoed in my ears.

"Will they say something about me being here in general? I mean I've never met anyone's parents before other than my students, what if they don't like me or-"

"Gianna baby, they're going to love you," I cut her rambling off, turning around to face her.

"I feel like I'm intruding," she whispered causing me to chuckle and head over to her.

"Why are you whispering," I asked her sitting on my bed.

"I don't know," she replied nervously playing with her French manicured nails.

"Calm down, okay?" I told her taking her hand, "My parents should be here in an hour and then normally we decorate the house and put up the tree," I said looking between her worry-filled eyes.

"Okay," she said letting out a breath she seemed to be holding, "can you take me to my room when you're done?" She asked.

"Of course Gianna," I smiled kissing the back of her hand.

"You know, you are very sweet," she said looking up at me.

"To the people I care most about," I said standing from my bed to finish unpacking.

Her head tilted, "You care about me?" She asked.

"well if I didn't you wouldn't be here, and have a whole new wardrobe," I chuckled softly.

"Well yeah," she said.

"Why wouldn't I care about you, Gianna?" I asked her filling my drawer up with more clothes.
