Gianna's Point of View
"Gigi?" Lily said causing my eyes to flutter open.
I groggily opened my eyes to find Lily standing over me, a concerned look on her face. "Hey, Gigi, are you okay? You slept for a long time."
I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the sleep. "Yeah, I'm fine, sweetie. Just needed a nap, I guess."
Lily nodded, crawling into the large bed and lying down beside me. "Lovie left you some breakfast," she said, gesturing to the tray on the bedside table. "But it's probably cold now."
I smiled weakly, feeling a pang of gratitude towards Eden. "That's okay, sweetie. I'll just heat it up or something."
Lily looked at me with big, sad eyes. "Gigi I'm sorry my mom said that to you," she said. "It really hurt your feelings?"
I sighed, not wanting to relive the drama, but also not wanting to brush off Lily's concern. "Yeah, But I'm okay now."
Lily nodded, seeming to accept my explanation. "Okay, Gigi. I'm glad you're okay." She paused, then asked, "Do you want to come snowmobiling with us? We're going to go again soon."
I hesitated, not sure if I was ready to face Avanna again, but also not wanting to drown in the overwhelming feeling in my chest, "I'll think about it, Lily, Okay?"
She nodded her head, "if you don't go then I'm not going," she determined, sliding into my fluffy blankets with me.
"You don't have to. You go have fun baby, I'm okay." I told her looking down at her.
"I want you to have fun, I feel like you haven't had fun and my mom is kinda being mean to you," she explained, "I'm sorry."
My heart sank, Lily shouldn't feel responsible for her mom's actions. Her mom is the adult in the situation and she's acting like a complete child.
"It's not your fault baby," I told her, looking between her big eyes.
"Can we watch a movie?" She asked looking between mine. I gave her a small smile before nodding.
Honestly after the whole thing with Avanna, it made me realize that I was masking how I felt. I wasn't even upset about her actions or the fact that I stupidly spent four thousand dollars on a purse.
I was upset cause I couldn't spend this time with my family. The people who I was supposed to- who I do love unconditionally.
But my family's love seemed to be conditional, I would only receive it if I conformed to what my parents wanted and became an unhappy lawyer.
But I refuse to do that.
Maybe I should've done that.
"Gianna," her warm voice flowed through my ears causing my eyes to drift towards her, as she was standing against my door frame.
My eyes openly trailed her body as she was dressed in black from head to toe. She wore a black long-sleeved spandex jumpsuit that zipped up but she had it unzipped, displaying her chest.
She paired the jumpsuit with black snow boots, a black puffer vest, and black furry earmuffs. To say she looked phenomenal would be an understatement.
