Gianna's Point Of View

The next few hours after the party were complete chaos. Between cleaning my classroom from the party and packing it up for the break, finding clothes for Aspen, and letting my friends know.

"So you're really going to Aspen for Christmas?" Kelsey asked sipping her Vodka Cranberry.

"I mean what else could I possibly do?" I furrowed my eyebrows, "it beats spending the holidays alone eating takeout and baking," I added leaning back in the chair of the restaurant we were currently in.

"Yeah, is it all expenses paid?" Phaith asked with her eyebrows raised.

"I'm pretty sure, if not it's fine. I have money saved," I said poking around my salad.

"Are you sure you want to go? After everything with Eden?" Kelsey's tone was filled with concern.

And I guess I can understand her concern but I really just don't want to be alone, especially now since almost everyone made it such a big deal.

"I just don't want to be alone. And this would be my first time seeing snow- other than going to Pensacola when I was eight,"  I looked between the two of them.

"Okay love, well if this is what you want then we support you," Phaith smiled before sipping her lemon drop.

"Right, and if something happens we will be on the first flight to Colorado to come and get you," Kelsey added which made me smile.

"Thank you guys," I said.

Eventually, dinner was over and I headed back home. I packed everything in my two pink suitcases and came to the realization what I packed wasn't going to be warm enough.

But still, my suitcases were filled to the brim. After packing I showered and slid into my warm bed. Staring up at my ceiling, slowly drifting to sleep with one thing on my mind.

The fact that I would be so close to her for a full week.

-

The sun was barely peaking into the sky when Eden and Lily were knocking at my door.

"This is all you got?" Eden asked eyeing my 2 pink suitcases.

"Yeah? I mean I don't really have winter clothes," I said looking up at her.

Basking in her natural beauty, and seeing her in something so simple sent this feeling through me. Making me want to see more of this side of her, a more relaxed and rare sight of her.

From her black long-sleeve shirt that hugged her body and sat high on her neck. The light-washed baggy jeans she wore fit her so well that I couldn't stop staring at her. The black leather jacket she wore and the black-heeled boots she wore that caused her to tower over me more than she already did.

"Why not?" She furrowed her eyebrows.

"I don't usually go to Aspen or see snow in general. My holidays are spent here mainly," I told her which easily earned a nod from her.

"I love the snow, it's my favorite thing about winter," Lily said looking up at me.

"I can't wait to see it," I smiled at her before my eyes met Eden's again.
