" Thank you, sheriff " Richard said stepping forward, before standing in front of them all " And on to a more pressing issue, John Gilbert has asked to say a few worlds " Nathaniel's rolled his eyes, he disliked John Gilbert, absolutely loathed him.

" Welcome back, John, It's good to see you " Richard and John shook hands " Thank you, mayor " John thanked moving to stand in front of them all, John slid his hands into his pockets " Hello, everyone. It's wonderful to see you — " John's eyes lingered on Nathaniel for a small second, annoyance filling his eyes, the dislike was mutual.

" I wish it were under better circumstances, as a founding family member, I find it's my duty to report some very distressing news, a hospital blood blank in the neighboring county of Amherst has reported several break-ins over the past two weeks, seven hunters, four campers and two state employees have been reported missing as well, all of this within a seventy five mile radius of Mystic Falls "

Richard lifted his hand up " O-okay- okay. No need to get alarmed right at this moment " Nathaniel did his best not to roll his eyes at the mayor.

" You think all of your problems are over but in here to tell you nothings been solved " John said, a mysterious tone to his voice, Richard looked over at Nathaniel for help and Nathaniel cleared his throat stepping forward turning around, he rubbed his hand over his jaw and gave a charming smile " Do not freak— " his voice was soft as he spoke " Our town has been surrounded by vampires for a very long time, we've fought it before, we can fight it again — " Damon's lips curled into an amusing smile, it was funny that not only a vampire but a demon-warlock-vampire was making this speech.

" Also, need I remind everyone that John hasn't been involved for years, he doesn't fully know our situation, he's simply making suggestions— suggestions that he shouldn't be making " Nathaniel eyed John with annoyance, meanwhile, Liz leaned over to Damon with a smile " And Nathaniel continues to show me why he's my favorite, John and Nathaniel loathe each other, or more like John does, Nathaniel couldn't care but he likes annoying him "

" Do you know why? " Damon asked as Nathaniel that the meeting was officially over " I think it had to do with the fact that Nathaniel doesn't have founding family blood in him and that the reason why Nathaniel is deputy mayor and apart of founding family stuff is because of his family, The Kang's have helped of Mystic Falls for centuries "

Damon laid his eyes on Nathaniel as he left and he chased after him, placing his arm around his shoulder with a grin " So deputy mayor, how do you feeling about telling me about John Gilbert " Nathaniel eyed Damon and pushed his shoulder off of him " Don't touch me — " Nathaniel chastised him " And there's nothing to know, John Gilbert is an asshole, I'm sure he was born like that, now if you don't mind, I have a lunch date with your sister "

Damon pouted as he left " This is why I like Nari better than you! " Damon yelled, a huff escaping his lips, Nathaniel merely waved his hand on the air not even glancing back at him, Damon rolled his eyes " I guess I'll go see my favorite Kang then " Damon said and headed off to his car, he pulled his phone out and called Nari who answered in the third ring.
