Doctor: I am so sorry to keep you waiting

Tony: Please tell me you were able to save them all please

Tony looked hopelessly into the Doctors eyes searching for the answer he needed to hear.

Doctor: Your family is stable

We were able to deliver your baby safely, but I can't make any promises your wife inhaled so much smoke I am surprised the baby is still alive.

We are going to keep them for observation

Tony dropped down to his knees

Tony: Thank you, God, thank you so much doctor

Can I go see them

Doctor: Let me see if they have been moved to their rooms the nurse will come back and get you

Tony was finally able to breathe felt like he was holding his breath waiting for answers.

Nurse walked up

Nurse: Hello sir, are you ready to see your family

Tony: Yes

Nurse: Right this way

Tony followed the nurse to the room where Ebony was laying hooked up to a bunch of machines. He started thinking back to when she was in the car accident and he found out she was pregnant. Now she's here again fighting for her life.

Her arms and face was wrapped up in gauze

Tony just broke down crying

Aiden was laying the bed right beside her

Tony: Little man

Aiden slowly opening his eye

Aiden: Daddy the house was on fire

Tony: I know

Aiden: Is mommy okay 

Tony: She's right next to you 

Aiden's eye begin to fill with tears

Tony: Don't cry little man everything going to be okay daddy is here now. Try to rest 

Aiden: Okay 

Tony hated to see his family like this he was getting choked up and didn't want Aiden to see him break down.

He went to go check on his princess He watched through the window as the nurses tended to her 

She was so tiny compared to being in the huge incubator 

The nurses started to panic and scramble all of a sudden Tony started banging on the glass 

Tony: What's wrong with my baby 

He walked over to the door and proceeded to go in the room but was pushed out immediately 

A voice came over the intercom paging the doctor for a unresponsive new born 

Tony: No no no no 

The doctors came running fast 

Tony: Please save my baby please 

Tony watched as the doctor put his ear to his babies chest and started to do small chest pumps with his two fingers. He kept pumping them listening. The baby wasn't moving and all the nurses had the look of defeat on their face 

He read the doctors lips 

Doctor: Time of death 7:08pm 9/11/24

They unhooked her and covered her little body
