I didn't go to the airport the next day. I didn't go the day after that either. Infact I didn't go for days I could no longer count, so much, that at one point, the whale/ cat entity had returned.
"Do you wish to go back?" It asked, showing up out of nowhere and yet I did not have it in me to flinch out of surprise as I sat there on the hard floor, staring at my feet. "Go where?"
"To your time of course."
"No."
"Then what are you doing?"
"What do you mean?" My lack of emotion or interest in this was surely frustrating the entity, but I couldn't care any less. It sighed before floats Ng around the room before standing across me mid air, it's multicolored cat eyes boring down on me. "Why are you wasting time?"
When no reply came from me, the cat continued. "Why aren't you solving this? Do you not wish to solve this anymore? Do you not want to save them-"
"I do."
"Then what do you think are you-"
SLAM!
The harsh sound of my palm hitting the hardened floor has the whole pin drop silent room exploding with noise, and if the entity was taken aback, it sure as hell didn't show it. It stared at me with slight wide eyes as I finally looked at it, my eyes set in a burning glare with teeth gritted in fury. "Shut it."
"What?" The cat seemed shocked at my words, but I didn't care. Fury had gotten the best of me. So I repeated myself. "You heard me. Shut it. Shut your trap."
"Kim Yeh Suh you will-"
"I will what!? What exactly do you have to say to me!?" There, I did it. I exploded. The pent up anger that had been gradually building inside my finally sputtered out like a fountain, unleashing it's waves everywhere without a care in the world. Yes, I did not care. Not any longer. Too much has already happened.
Getting to my feet, I glared down at the cat. "What can you even say to me that will be useful, huh?"
No longer was I screaming, but the danger in my strangely calm voice wasn't going unnoticed by the entity. "All this time, all these days that I had been stranded in here, in this one particular day, what have you ever done to help me fix this mess? Tell me, what!?"
Of course, the cat didn't reply. But I didn't need to. I was the one who wanted to talk anyway. So scowling to myself, I said again. "I was brought here against my will. While I'm grateful I can make a change and let justice prevail, how the fuck do you expect me to do that without telling me what the fuck am I facing!? How am I supposed to change something when I don't even know what the fuck I'm supposed to change!?"
I was yelling again, and it didn't even matter. I needed to let this out. This entity or whoever sent me here needed to hear this.
"You brought me here! You said I had to fix this! And yet, every information I had received thus far was from a being that isn't even part of our universe! Had she not told me what I'm up against, I would still be running around in circles trying to stop a flight that is inevitable! Because of you all!"
"I told you," the entity suddenly spoke up, voice calm yet on edge, which made me instinctively go silent for I wanted to know what it had to say after all this time. "No, I showed you. I showed you the past, about what transpired at HYBE. I didn't have to but I didn't."
"Did you tell me Gowon planned a staged aeroplane crash to kill BTS?"
Words seemed to have failed the cat as it averted it's eyes from me, which only made me want to laugh at it's arrogance. How nice of it to point out all the ways it helped me. How nice indeed.
