Life Goes On [BTS X ARMY]

Final Chapter

"Yeh Suh. It's time."

Jiwon says after knocking at the door once, but I don't respond back, too busy staring at my reflection in the full length mirror. Dressed in my best black suit, I let my hairs cascade around my face, putting on my glasses and staring back at my reflection yet again.

I look like her. I look so much like her. Like grandma. And yet nothing like her at all.

"Yeh Suh?"

"Yes, Jiwon. I'm coming." I finally answer, turning around and facing the girl that is dressed in the same colors as mine, her face void of her usual make up.

Kim Jiwon. My best friend.

And Kim Taehyung's only grand daughter.

After I woke up yesterday, my memories were a jumbled mess, and nothing made any sense. Like as if my mind had taken a rollercoaster ride, and everything had been overturned.

In time, the memories begin coming back to me, but a lot differently than I remembered. Memories from my life before time travelling were no longer the same. My life that once consisted of having no friends and only my parents abd grandparents as company had been changed to having tons of childhood friends. Memories of my grandma being a crazy old woman obsessed with a dead boy band were now shifted to her making fond memories with them as they grew old together.

While some of my memories remained same, most of them were now filled with the people I thought I'd never see again. My childhood now consisted of BTS, as the eagerly watched me grow, fitting on me like their own child, nurturing me in ways that puzzled even my grandmother. Abd me. Because up until yesterday, no one knew about the drastic change in BTS's fate and the role I'd play in it.

I didn't know either. I was born a normal child, living a normal life, until yesterday, when all the memories came back to me. Memories of a life I once lived, a life I used for altering the lives of seven others.  Now that life was no more, that world was no more, but I still remember it. I still have memories of it. Now I live a life with memories from both my lives.

And because BTS knew one day I'd remember everything, they looked after me like I was their own child, making all their grand children grow up beside me and making us life long friends. Patiently, they waited, but sadly, they all passed away. Except one.

With Jeon Jungkook taking his last breath yesterday.

They never got the chance to meet the me that remembered them before everything changed. The me that sacrificed my life to save them. They never got the chance to thank me, but I know they always said it to me as I grew. Till their last breaths, they always told me how thankful they were to me, although I had little to know idea what they were talking about.

Now I know.

"You look lovely, Jiwon." I comment to her, which only makes her chuckle as we make our way downstairs. "Lovely is not what I'm aiming for in grandpa Kook's funeral. You know that."

Sometimes, I see them in their grandfather's. Especially their strong features. Looking at Jiwon now, she looks so much like Taehyung, it's nostalgic. Her parents genes didn't even try.

"I suppose he'll be there too, won't he?" I ask with my breath hitched, making Jiwon grab my hand as we get inside her car. "If he's feeling alright, that is."

The rude to the funeral home is endless. With the immense traffic and the breaking news of the day, it's hard to get things done, especially now when BTS are so lived rather than hated.

You might be wondering what happened in the past, so I shall clear it for you.

After the boys rescued me/my grandmother from the crashing plane, the pilot had already brought help, and we were all taken to the hospital immediately. But alas, I/grandma had fallen into a slumber that the doctors said we might never wake up from, breaking the boy's heart there and then.
